R-exts.texi: suggestion for small change to Vignette section (PR#7323)
I recently wrote a vignette, with the following at the top of the .Rnw file: %%\VignetteIndexEntry{How to use look up tables for h() functions} %%\VignetteDepends{sjedmin, spatstat} Using vExplorer() on this function, I got an error from this part of getVigInfo(): lines <- grep("^%[[:space:]]*\\\\Vignette", file) if (length(lines) == 0) stop("File ", vig,

Documentation update to R-lang.texi
Section 4.3.4 of R-lang.texi version 41191 in the paragraph that starts "When h(3) is..." explains that x and y are unbound variables in the function body of g in this example: f <- function(x) { y <- 10 g <- function(x) x + y return(g) } h <- f() h(3) while the paragraph following the example explains that "bound

Suggested changes to R-lang.texi and R-exts.texi
Dear all, I would like to suggest the following changes to the R documentation: 1) R-exts.texi: Having had my first experience with uploading a package to ftp://cran.R-project.org/incoming/, I think it would be nice if the documentation pointed out that one should use ftp and not sftp (at least on my machine sftp failed to make a connection) and that one should log in as user

R-exts.texi in SVN version 36380
G'day all, after issuing `svn up' on my machine this morning, I noticed that `make info' choked on R-exts.texi. Below is a patch that seems to solve the problem. BTW, while `make info' runs now, I still get the following warning: /usr/bin/makeinfo --enable-encoding -D UseExternalXrefs -I/opt/src/R-devel-src/doc/manual /opt/src/R-devel-src/doc/manual/R-exts.texi

documentation for image(): zlim update (PR#962)
Full_Name: Stephen Eglen Version: 1.2.3 OS: Linux Submission from: (NULL) (128.252.204.186) The help file for image() currently says: The way in which `zlim' is divided into colours will be changed for the next major release (1.1.0) to divide the range into equal-length intervals. According to NEWS, this was indeed changed in 1.1.0, so perhaps it can now be removed from the

typos in doc for write.table (PR#984)
Full_Name: Stephen Eglen Version: 1.2.3 OS: Linux (Redhat 6.1) Submission from: (NULL) (128.252.204.186) Hi, two small typos in `?write.table' (R 1.2.3) In the doc of the append parameter: append: logical. If true, the output is appended to targshe file. that should be "... to the file". and in the Details section, a full-stop is missing after names: Normally there is no

How to turn off the beep made by locator()?
Hi, [I'm Using redhat linux 7.1 with R-1.4.1 rpms.] Last summer, Henrik Bengtsson wrote to R-help: > Is there a way to turn of the (annoying) beep that occurs when one calls the > locator() command and clicks the mouse. Missing parenthesis in R-exts.texi
Line 1204 (right now) of svn/r-devel/doc/manual/R-exts.texi has dest <- file.path(R_PACKAGE_DIR, paste0('bin', R_ARCH) which lacks a closing ) -- two open, only one close right now. Dirk [1] I would have reported a bug, but I am aware of a recent and not-so-friendly response when bugzilla was used to report a typo. -- http://dirk.eddelbuettel.com | @eddelbuettel | edd at

typo in R-ints.texi's description of P_ macro
I think there are some missing words in "R Internals"'s description of the P_ macro. It currently has "A macro as a wrapper for ngettext", which I think ought to be something like "The macro P_ may be used as a wrapper for ngettext". The following patch also makes the 2 alternate definitions of P_ have the same argument names, StringS and StringP. Expanding the

demo(graphics) problem under rw1041 (PR#1307)
I just downloaded rw1041 (the latest windows binary). Everything installed fine. When I start a new Rgui, and type "demo(graphics)", after pressing return to start, a graphics window appears. When I get to the second prompt: > opar <- c(opar, par(bg = "white")) > plot(x, ann = FALSE, type = "n") Hit <Return> to see next plot: at this

[LLVMdev] Cygwin llvm-gcc build error
Now I believe that I am getting the same error as I was getting last time I tried to build llvm-gcc. I do not know makeinfo so was not able to proceed any thurther than verifying the makeinfo statement did the same thing when done on the command line. Basically I am stuck. I do not know whether it was my Cygwin configuration or something I have done or not done or whether it is a valid

[PATCH] nouveau/codegen: allow tex offsets on non-TXF instructions (e.g. TXL)
Signed-off-by: Ilia Mirkin <imirkin at alum.mit.edu> --- This fixes the bin/fs-textureOffset-2D piglit test on nv50.
