RailsTidy: validates your HTML

History plugin
Hello,
I felt annoyed enough when having to redirect user back to their
previous location in a hackish way that I wrote this plugin.
It avoids storing POST and Ajax request. It also has a facility to
specify actions not to store in the history.

Do I need separate file for each model
Hi,
I have some models in a file named genel. When I try to use one of the classes in my controller rails raises an error telling classname.rb is not forund even the file is required already.

Hi!
I have been learning rails for a couple of week now.
Mostly i''ve worked on a authorize/roles system and now i go to the
point that i want to separate it from en rest of my application to
share it with others and to use it in other projects.
It is a quite simple system that i implement using before_filter.

naming convention for bridge tables.
I read somewhere that the correct naming of bridge tables is in alpha order.
For example. I have two tables:
houses, and colors.
If I want to create a bridge table to associate colors with houses, I would
name the table:
colors_houses
The associations work fine.
But, if I have a table named: track_houses.
Building a bridge table called: colors_track_houses, gives me model
associaton errors.

Best Practices For back/cancel/return button
Are there any best practices for implementing a back/cancel/return
button... even when the page you want to return people too is 2 pages
back (when people submit form and then want to return)?

how do i reload a module in the vendor directory?
This seems like a fairly straight forward question. I have code in the
vendor directory.
Any modifications that I make to the code are not respected. My rails app
is in development mode so I would expect any require ''code'' to be
re-parsed. But this is not occuring... How so? I have a test to post if I
need to, but I get the feeling that I am just missing something simple. I

Ruby equivalent to PHP Beautify?
Hi all,
I am working on a project in Rails for my senior seminar
class. I am fairly new to Rails but I have done a major
project, so I know a little. The one thing I cannot find
however is a way to make the html code that is output

How to copy between databases?
I want to copy data from one database to another using rails. But, it seems
that rails only will talk to one database at a time. Is there a way around
this?

Moving page_cache_directory
Howdy. I''m working on a RoR CMS and need cached pages to all be in
public/cache rather than public [in order to set svn:ignore on all the files
properly]. I can get page_cache_directory set correctly and the pages are
cached in the right place but Mongrel isn''t serving them because it''s only

Setting up 3.0 to authenticate to AD
After reading through the doc for setting up 3.0beta with ADS, I have gotten
it to work along the lines of the the doc said. I can use wbinfo -g or -u
top get the users and groups, I can use the net user or net group command to
do it as well. I can login with the kinit program, perfectly well as well.
Unfortunately, I cannot seem to connect to the linux machine from a Windows

Regression line w/ residuals - tuning the plot
Hello everybody,
I am sure this is a beginners' problem which is being asked
recurrently every few months, but nevertheless I wasn't able to find
the answer searching through the r-help list.
So here is my problem: I would like to plot a set of points (y vs. x),
a (linear) regression line through them, and on the second graph
underneath the first one I would want to plot residuals vs. x.

Stop browser from "form filling" fields.
Hi all,
I have a user login form which the browser keeps populating because of
its form fill feature. So when anyone goes to log in it shows the
previous login''s username and password. How can I stop the browser
from populating a text field?
