Another problem here. After the upgrade to 1.1 both rails and engines,
my app on windows crashes very often on requests. It can''t refer to User
model or losts connection to mysql. It appears like 2-3 times per 10
requests.
Eg.

Strange question on file_column
I have met a very strange problem on file_column usage.
After I have added
file_column :image
to the model,everything is ok.
But after I added more:
file_column :image, :magick => {:versions => {
:thumb => {:size => "50*50"},
:medium => {:size => "640*480>"}}}
I can not even start the whole website! Here is the

no marshal_dump is defined for class Proc
Hello ~
This problem has me puzzled. When users login to my rails app I have the
session set up to be stored in the MySQL database for the app.
Intermittently, users will get the following error:

warning: toplevel constant SomeController referenced by Admin::SomeController
This issue has been discussed before (http://www.ruby-forum.com/topic/
125392) and after spending a while debugging through this, I still
don''t have a solution. Lets try again?
I have two controllers, SomeController and Admin::SomeController. When
SomeController is loaded first (which happens under spork, found out
by editing ActiveSupport::AbstractController) I get warning: toplevel

File upload doesn''t work in production mode
Can anyone understand what the production.log file is telling me. I''ve
tried playing with the permissions for the folders and it makes no
difference. Every time I submit the form to upload the file I get
"Application error (Rails)" which doesn''t really help.

warning: toplevel constant XYZ referenced Admin:XYZ
I have an odd problem. I got controllers in a namespace and
controllers outside of the namespace. For example, I have a
PagesController and a Admin::PagesController.
When I run rspec from the top, tests pass and I get the following
warning:
spec/controllers/admin/pages_controller_spec.rb:4: warning: toplevel
constant PagesController referenced by Admin::PagesController
This makes no sense. I do

NameError in AdminController, uninitialized constant
Hi there basically following the "Agile Web Development With Rails, 2nd
Edition"
i followed the tutorial exaclty, worked fine, so i decided to change one
thing
on page 74 instead of:
ruby script/generate model product
i used:
ruby script/generate model propertys
and:
depot_a/db/migrate/001_create_products.rb
~/Rails/ecom/db/migrate$ cat 001_create_propertys.rb

Problems when applying search to filter rows.
Hello,
I am trying to create in the main Layout of the application fields of
selection of fields of the model, and other to insert its value. Next I put
a search button, with the idea to leak by the search in the view of the
model where it executes this button. I have generated the views with
ajaxscaffold.
I do not know if what I try to do it does of this form or another one.

cached-model broken with Rails 1.1
It looks like cached-model is broken again under rails 1.1. Can anyone
confirm? Note that the exception below indicates it''s trying to treat
CachedModel as the class name of the model, rather than using the proper
class name (which is Entry in this case, and the table called entries).
This is a model using Single Table Inheritance and acts_as_tree, and
worked just fine under 1.0 and

uninitialized constant errors?
Running with WEBrick, I seem to be occasionally
getting these odd "uninitialized constant XXX" errors.
Where the XXX is the first class that whatever action
I run uses (e.g. Product, CartItem etc).
>From the backtrace, it looks almost like the server is
somehow trying to reinitialize?
Any thoughts?

Uninitialized Constant in scaffold list page
I''m new to Ruby on Rails and just trying to get it up and running. I''m
using RadRails, but I don''t think that matters for this problem.
I''ve got a very basic app with one table and I used the scaffold
generator for a table called datedgoals. The new page works fine, but
then when it switches over to the list page, I get the errors below. Any
idea how to fix

Input/output error on linux
Hi,
I''m trying to use mongrel 0.3.13 with Rail 1.0
Believe it or not, on OS/X it works well for weeks at a time. On
linux I''m getting Input/output errors after anything from a few hours
to days, never more than a week. Once they start they don''t stop.
The only pattern I''ve seen is that it always (seems) to happen while
rendering an rhtml file.

404 and NameError
Hi guys,
I was wondering if anyone knew a fix for this problem I have. I''ve
ported one of the apps I work with to Rails 0.10.0 to use Routes.
Everything works great, except for 404 pages.
The thing is that if I give a non existent path, I get the correct 404
error page back. However if I request a non existent file such as
test.php (in fact anything non existent that isn''t a

Error: uninitialized constant LockError
Hey Guys. So, I get this error every so often, and in sneaking at the code,
it seems that it could be an easy fix, where it''s looking for a LockError,
but I think it''s a LockException.
I''m on 0.10.13 with a very large index (about a million docs) that''s staged
on several servers, which are updated daily. (Using rails 1.1.6)
Thanks for all the hard work.
