Hello list, I am trying to override the post_form method of Net::HTTP so that it does something before actually doing the post. I tried the following in environments/development.rb module Net class HTTP alias_method_chain :post_form, :intercept def post_form_with_intercept(url, params) # Do something before post logger.info(''About to post at

Hi all, I''m trying to serialize a form with the exception of one specific element. Serializing the form in a hash (without pulling out specific elements) works: <li> <%= link_to_remote ''(Save)'', {:url => post_path(@post), :with => "$ (''post_form'').serialize(true)" }, :method => :put %> </li> The generated code

Noobish URI Question
Sorry if the answer has been posted but the search terms (like URI) are so generic I get tons of useless results. I have a controller (in this case "forum_controller") so if I want to read a forum topic the URI is "/forum/topic/1". As of right now for adding a new topic my URI is setup as "/forum/new_topic". I''d really like it to be something like

Slow/unpredictive response of post_form from rails lib
Hi friends, I''m facing a very strange problem... I consume a webservice from within my rails app. I''ve written a thin wrapper around the webservice using Net::HTTP.post_form However, when calling the API from within my controllers, the API calls randomly fail, complaining about timeout. But - when I wrote a simple iterative test (500 iterations), calling the same webservice

Response To Form Submission Hanging
Hello, I am using Mechanize to post a form to a website. When I do this by hand in my browser the response takes about 35s to come back (it''s a long page full of tables and graphics). When I do this with Mechanize, the server starts to respond and then appears to hang. The obvious conclusion is that my code is wrong but I am reasonably sure that I haven''t altered it

(Background: Relatively new to dovecot; looking to do transparent replacement of long-established UW-IMAP on cluster of Linux boxes which NFS-mount a shared "/var/spool/mail".) With rc8, where I had already increased "login_max_processes_count" from default 128 to 1024, we had still hit the issue of too many logins crashing dovecot, so that trial had only lasted a couple of
