RE: SATA detect fails on ICH7 chipset / DellPoweredgeSC430
Please can you do an ''lspci -nv'' to find out the exact version of your
controller.
I''m wandering whether it features in pci/quirks.c and whether the fixup
code is borked on Xen.
Also, have you tried fiddling around with any of the BIOS IDE legacy
mode settings?
There really is no good explanation for a) why the MMIO region is so low
on native, and b) why it is

SATA pass-through woes
I''m trying to pass my SATA controller through to a domain and have run
into a weird situation. I have two machines with the same general
class of hardware (Intel PIIX) and the pass-through works on one
machine but not the other. On the non-working system, the SATA
controller makes port reads, but they don''t return the correct values.
For example, when running it in dom0, when

SATA detect fails on ICH7 chipset / Dell Poweredge SC430
Hi,
I have a Dell Poweredge SC420 and a SC430. The SC420 has an ICH6
chipset and works ok with Xen. The SC430 has an ICH7 chipset and the
SATA detection fails. I''ve tried 2.6.11.10 and 2.6.12.5 kernels, with
Xen 2.0.7, Xen-testing and Xen-unstable, all with the same results.
I''m using the same hypervisor and kernel binaries, so problems with
the compiler environment etc. have

Correctly setting up sound with Intel High Definition ICH7
Hi,
Earlier this day I started a thread about Skype not working with
outgoing sound. Now I wonder if it's not a problem with my soundcard. I
had a vague suspicion about this, but since it's way off the original
topic, I decided to start a new thread about this.
Here's what the soundcard looks like:

Intel ICH7 SMBus support, ichsmb(4)
Hi there,
I have been looking at a system which has the Intel ICH7 south bridge.
Whenever I try to probe the SMBus on this system with 'smbmsg -p', I get
a lot of status=41 timeout messages in dmesg from the ichsmb(4) driver.
I have been given the addresses of the SMBus peripherals and have tried
initiating reads to their register space directly using 'smbmsg', with

[PATCH] drm/nouveau: tegra: Initialize mode configuration
From: Thierry Reding <treding at nvidia.com>
Irrespective of whether or not the device has any usable outputs, the
modesetting helpers will try to register all the resources such as CRTCs
and planes. Unfortunately, the helpers rely on drm_mode_config_init() to
properly set up internal data structures. Since the Tegra GPU does not
have a display engine, the Nouveau driver doesn't set

Centos 4.3 and Card Reader
CentOS 4.3 (fully updated, including CentOS Plus kernel).
Running KDE 3.5.2 (fully updated from redhat.kde repo).
I can't seem to get the OS to recognize my SD card when inserted into my USB
card reader. Mepis 6 Beta 3 has no problem with it. DMESG sees nothing
happening when the card is inserted. USB-STORAGE module is loaded.

pjsip subscribe (presence) always returns: No matching endpoint found
Hello List
I am in the progress of migrating from chan_sip to pjsip.
I fear I have missed something on how hints need to be specified for
pjsip.
For chan_sip I have configured sip.conf
subscribecontext = localuser
and in the dialplan I set:
[localuser]
exten => 11,hint,SIP/11
Now if a phone subscribes to '11' this works.
Now I try to get the same working for pjsip. I understood

pjsip rtp_ipv6=yes but endpoint registered via ipv4 (IP4 contact infor)
Dear List
I fear I stumbled over a bug in asterisk 13.14.1.
My 'phones' are roaming around, sometimes some are connecting from ipv6
enabled networks, another time they are not.
If a connection is ipv6 I would prefer to use ipv6 to avoid ipv4-nat
problems.
I have not specified a transport in the endpoint section, so that the
appropriate transport which corresponds to the registration

Cannot get kvm guests to connect to network
I installed a new CentOS-6.3 kvm guest on a recently provisioned kvm
host also running CentOS-6.3. This guest will not connect to the
network and the host cannot connect to it via its public IP address. I
had previously installed a guest system on thst same kvm host using
the same ISO and that system connects to the network without problem.
I next created a third guest isntance and this too does
