Ferret failing to rebuild_index - occasionally unable to del
I''m switching all my fulltext searching over to ferret using the acts_as_ferret plugin on windows (for development, will be deployed on linux). In my tests I have a setup method as follows to ensure the index is reset for each test: def setup Item.rebuild_index end This works fine for the initial few tests but then suddenly fails for the last few tests when it seems to be failing

after_create callback called twice in test env when using fixtures
All, I''ve been trying to figure out a strange bug in one of my applications that I think I''ve narrowed down to a problem with rails fixtures. It seems as though the after_create callback is being run twice when I save a record. This is only happening a) in the test environment, and b) when there is a fixture file for that table. The test below only prints "Doing

[ActsAsFerret] OpenSolaris (TextDrive) indexing issues
Gents, I successfully installed AAF on my TextDrive OpenSolaris Container, but I''m having some issues with indexing. I have a model called Blogs which has AAF enabled. The first time I tried to find_by_contents for a ''word'' I know was on the Database I got now results. Apparently the index was not ready yet. Then I waited a few hours and checked that the /index

Indexing weirdness
Hi, I''m having some problems with acts_as_ferret and indexing. I''ve got a simple 5 column table, and a corresponding Ruby model. I loaded 9 rows directly into the table using mysql (for live it''ll be about .5mil rows) and configured a Rails search page along the exact same lines as ferret_demo. Unfortunately, search wouldn''t return any results; following

500 Server Error - stumping me at the moment
I''m trying to deploy an app on Dreamhost and I''m getting the infamous 500 Server Error. Nothing in the rails logs because it looks to be happening before it gets there. In the apache error logs we have: [Wed Apr 12 12:51:51 2006] [error] [client 194.80.32.9] FastCGI: comm with (dynamic) server "/home/rlivsey/thatsprogress.com/current/public/dispatch.fcgi"

FCGI and the never ending saga of deploying on Dreamhost
I''m trying to setup an app on Dreamhost and running into no end of problems. The app is running with edge rails and I''m currently getting the dreaded ''Rails application failed to start'' white screen when trying to access it. I''ve gone through all the ''gotchas'' and troubleshooting docs at Dreamhost and the rails wiki to no avail.

rebuild_index fails on some models using aaf
I''ve been running the super latest AAF plugin with a mongrel cluster/ferret_server combo smoothly for a few days in production mode, indexing 4 models with no surprises. Only now when I try including some new Models to be indexed, the ferret_server fails to index with ferret server error undefined method `_'' for Summary:Class (it creates the dir on index/production, tho) and

Double work at Model.rebuild_index
I''m noting that every time I run Model.rebuild_index its running twice the rebuild_index. Also, on ferret_index.log there is only one small difference from the first and second time, see: First time it shows: rebuild index: [] reindexing model User After it finishes, it automatically starts the second time and shows; rebuild index: [["User"]] reindexing model User The full

Samba + CFS
Hello, I'm trying to get Samba and CFS (cryptographic file system) to work. What I want is to mount a crypted directory (on my Debian Sarge server) as a Samba share to my WinXP box. I've already set up a crypted directory (/crypt/crypt) as a user. And I've also set up a Samba share for this 'virtual' directory. I can access and delete files from that folder over the Samba

CFS BWC related question
Hi, Seems this question is not related with libvirt directly, but I still want to ping this list to see if someone can be help. The OS in my desktop box is Ubuntu 12.10, the kernel is 3.5.1. I installed the cgroup utility package with:#apt-get install cgroup-bin, but after I installed these packages successfully, I can't find cpu_quota/cpu_period controller in the /sys/fs/cgroup/cpu folder.

IO Errors on deleting documents with Ferret
I have a large index (~6GB, ~1 million docs) that was built by RDig. I wrote a script to iterate through the index to clear out some duplicate information to try to reduce the size of the index. clients.each {|client| docs = RDig.searcher.search("+supplier_id:#{client.id}") docs.each {|doc| data = doc[:data].dup #the contents of the web page new_results = {}
