Serve static XML files how?
Hi,
a Javascript in one of my Rails templates needs to load a static XML
file. I tried several places to put the actual XML file, and I also
tried to make the file a rails template (tried both .rhtml and .rxml)
and access it via a controller action. None of these ways worked. Does
the lighttpd server know how to serve XML files, or do I need to
configure it first? Or, is there a good workaround?

Weird Caching Issue
Hey all,
Here''s the issue... I''m not entirely sure it''s even a Cache-related issue,
but here it goes:
I''ve deployed a Rails app onto a subdomain of my clients site... The server
is running Apache2, and I''m proxying through to Lighttpd. The issue I''m
having is that I''m able to add content to the site (data exists in the db),

How to consume XMLRPC/SOAP web services in Rails?
Hi,
does anybody know of any good HowTo for consuming XML-RPC and/or SOAP
web services in Rails?
I found some for Ruby (via soap4r/xmlrpc4r), but I was wondering whether
there is something built into Rails already. So far it looks like there
are methods to create web services, but not to consume them.

Caching foor starters
Hi there...
I have some experience in building web applications but all of them
have been intranet apps so I have never had to think about things like
caching. Actually my experience with caching has more been in the area
of removing it since it just gets in the way for a intranet app with
10-100 users.
But now I am writing a site which might stand or fall by the quality
of it''s

DNS Caching for a satellite link
I'm on a satellite link, and I've got a caching DNS server set up.
Several popular sites have very short DNS cache times set in their SOA
records, and I'm trying to over-ride them so that our link isn't swamped
with DNS queries. Anybody know how to force the DNS cache to hang onto
the info longer than the SOA TTL?
Yes, I know the arguments against doing this, but in this

how to format and syntax highlight code in html
I''ve written my own blog (I know typo is better, but I wanted the
experience of writing my own) and I want to add syntax highlighting to
it. I''ve read about using the ruby gem syntax but I can''t figure out
how to implement it. I''ve also wondered if it could be used in my case.
How does it work when you have a long line of code but the <div> your

NumbersToWords

japaneese words,or translate it into american currency
- This plugin was created from a solution to the ruby quiz (english
numbers) by Matthew D Moss. I modified the code to work as a rails
plugin and added the to_dollars method.

I have page caching turned on for all actions in my controller

[LLVMdev] Migration from JIT to MCJIT
Thanks, Eran.
I’m not sure how soon I’ll have a solution for you, but it’s on my to-do list now. I’ll also create a bugzilla record for this problem.

Rails wizard page support
Hello,
does anyone know if there is a "best practice" how to implement wizard pages in
RoR? I want to have multiple pages for entity editing and creation. Is there
any rails plugin available? I think it would be nice to have a howto in the
rails wiki or to have built-in wizard support in RoR. What do you think? Any
suggestions how to implement this elegant?

Prompting user to enter value to feed Find
Hi,
While viewing part of a long list of records, the user may want to do a
Find of a specific record (for example, find_by_name). The found record
is then displayed using the list view. I''ve searched the wiki and
couldn''t find a sample or information that will help directly in
implementing this function. Any pointers?
Thanks!

[LLVMdev] Migration from JIT to MCJIT
Eran,
Is there any chance you could boil this down to a small reproducer?
I’ve got a mid-to-long-term goal of getting rid of the ugliness in LLDB that Jim mentioned, and fixing your problem would be a good first step.
Thanks,
Andy

diff (to html) for Rails?
Hi,
I am looking for a way to compare to pieces of text, and mark up the
differences with html. Basically the way Basecamp Writeboards do it. I
was wondering whether this is available as a plugin (my initial search
didn''t turn up anything).

[LLVMdev] Migration from JIT to MCJIT
Thank you for the help.
The relocation type value is anded with 0xffffffffL. (RuntimeDyldMachO.cpp:214)
Maybe this mask should be different?
Anyway, it seems like this relocation isn't implemented. (RuntimeDyldMachO.cpp:104)
