XenServer iSCSI / VDI Not Found
Hello everyone, My organization has an iSCSI LUN on a XenServer 6.0.2 host that is having issues. Last night we attempted a snapshot on a VM that is critical to our infrastructure. During the snapshot, the task locked up and was unable to progress or stop the snapshot. I attempted to force the VM to stop as well as destroy it''s domain. As a last resort I had powercycled the host. Upon

Sound or USB passthrough for Windows guest at Citrix XenServer 5.6 Free
Hi there, I''ve started using Xen through Citrix XenServer 5.6 Free. Now I am thinking about adding a USB sound device to my virtual Windows machine. One idea would be to access a virtual audio device that streams audio to a client. I''ve stumbled over the possibility to SSH-forward PulseAudio but this is not possible for Windows on either one or the other side of the chain.

XenServer 5.6 FP1 - CPU utilization using sar
Hi all, Using XenServer with a RHEL6 beta VM, I have sar installed on the hypervisor and VM. If I do a ''md5sum < /dev/urandom'' to spike CPU usage on the VM, I see the indication on the XenCenter performance graph on CPU 0. It does increase quickly. Neither sar output gives any sort of indication that the CPU is being loaded. This VM is pinned to both processor 0 and 1

XCP vs XenServer (free edition) or is it XCP mature enough?
Hello, I am a system manager of a datacenter. Is this moment, we about 30-40 xen servers running 2 or 3 domUs each of them. We are now using (standalone) xen over debian lenny. We manage each xen server independently, but we are looking for a central management console. At this moment, I have the doubt about using citrix xenserver (the free edition) or XCP. I didn''t know much
