I've just fixed a blocking bug (#713349) which was due to the renaming
of an OCaml library (type-conv -> type_conv).
Now, xen-api FTBFS because of what looks like an API change in some (C)
dependency:

[PATCH 0 of 2] Add configuration options to selectively disable S3 and S4 (V3)
This patch series adds the ability to selectively disable the S3 and S4 ACPI
power states for HVM guests.
Since there is a general move towards retiring the hvm_info_table structure,
the first patch moves the acpi_enabled flag out of the hvm_info_table and into
a xenstore key (platform/acpi).
The second patch then introduces the acpi_s3 and acpi_s4 configuration
parameters to the xl config file

usbhid-ups causes hang/crash in ohci driver
I'm experiencing a rather serious issue with the usbhid-ups driver on
two different Linux systems. The symptoms on both systems are the same:
After anything from a few hours to a day or two, upsd is no longer able
to communicate with the UPS. upsd initially starts complaining about
"data from UPS <such-and-such> is stale - check driver", then upsmon
reports a loss of

CentOS 5 - Booting halts when loading UHCI
I have CentOS 5 installed on a Compaq Evo. I don't know the exact Evo
model. When I first installed it, booted up fine. Now, when it boots, it
freezes when it loads the UHCI kernel module. Here's what I see:
input: AT Translated set 2 keyboard as /class/input/input0

Loading uhci-hcd.ko module.

kldload uhci lockup
I observed that following could cause
machine lockup since at least 8-CURRENT.
Now I'm on 9-STABLE
No usb in kernel, attached mouse pointer.
# kldload usb ums ehci
# kldload uhci
or
# kldload uhci usb ums ehci
uhci is required for working mouse.
Can anyone confirm? Please
test few different iterations, as
it's probably not easily reproducible.
Most times nothing happens, if

Re: [Asterisk-Dev] Use the Meetme application with another module thanUSB-UHCI
I ran in to an almost impossible ability to run MeetMe on our poweredge. Our
PE is a 4 proc with OHCI and we had no need to buy any PCI cards other than
for running MeetMe. If you know how to recompile your kernel, recompile it
and make RTC a module (its compiled in by default). Then you can use zaprtc
as your timing source. Be sure to `rmmod rtc` before you `insmod zaprtc`
because zaprtc is a

managedsave/start fails because of Q35 UHCI Host Controller
managedsave/start appears to work, but VM is unusable due to non-stop
repeating uhci_hcd errors.
I can't remove the USB controller from QEMU, but I CAN remove it
through virsh edit. Doing so eliminates the USB controller in the
guest, preventing non-stop repeating uhci_hcd errors. (QEMU only lets
you remove the USB redirection entries, which didn't help.)

Question about how to reduce samba 3.3.3 install size or why it has been increased dramatically from 3.0.34 to 3.3.3
Hello,
can anyone give me some tips why the file size of various samba
executables has been increased dramatically from 3.0.34 to 3.3.3 (e.g.
smbd 3.5MB -> ~7MB) The reason is that it is necessary for our project
to keep the size as small as possible. You can have a look into the
makefile here:

migration 1.2.5 -> 2.0.5 load increased dramatically
During norml operation this morning we're seeing a significantly
increased load on the IMAP server (factor 5, from 5 to 25).
Does dovecot need to rebuild index files or perform other IO intensive
operations after the upgrade?
We're using Maildir
Our monitoring shows increased "system" time. We're runnign fewer
processes, the IO rate ist identical to yesterday, memory usage

NUT 2.x causes uhci-usb error messages in syslog.
Hello,
For a while I have been running NUT 2.0.0 just fine with my APC Back-UPS RS 800 using the usbhid interface.
I decided to upgrade to 2.0.2, and all went well (upsc and upsd/upsmon seem happy to talk to the UPS), but I am getting a ton of these messages in my syslog:
Jul 6 17:12:45 yggdrasil kernel: usb-uhci.c: interrupt, status 3, frame# 780

Re: Bug#181699: #181699 Re: #181699 wine: vague error message: "dramatically effect" in what way?
What really matters is not whether Wine has a Windows drive and
filesystem to sit on top of, but whether or not Wine can use native
Windows DLLs instead of its builtin ones. Some DLLs in Wine are so
perfect that they can be used in Windows - no benefit will be gained
from running an app that uses these natively. Some of Wine's DLLs are
buggy or incomplete - using stock native Windows ones

[PATCH 00/15] RFC xen device model support
Hi all,
this is the long awaited patch series to add xen device model support in
qemu; the main author is Anthony Perard.
Developing this series we tried to come up with the cleanest possible
solution from the qemu point of view, limiting the amount of changes to
common code as much as possible. The end result still requires a couple
of hooks in piix_pci but overall the impact should be very

[PATCH v3 0/6] initial suspend support
This patch series makes suspend support in qemu alot more useful. Right
now the guest can put itself into s3, but qemu will wakeup the guest
instantly. With this patch series applied the guest will stay suspended
instead and there are a few events which can kick the guest out of
suspend state: A monitor command, ps/2 input, serial input, rtc. Not
much yet, but it''s a start with the
