Good email client to use with Dovecot?
FWIW, I use claws, which is about the only one not mentioned.? I don't like Thunderbird. For one thing, it is in caretaker status. Mozilla believes Web based mail is the "future." I rather not run roundcube, given I got hacked via an unpatched roundcube ?back when I was using a hosting company. ? Webmail just increases your attack surface.?

Rate limit remote smtp connections....
Hi all ... Happy to be back for a question/suggestion again .... I came accross this weird situation. I take care of a site running shorewall 3.0.5 in the firewall and qmail in the DMZ ( mail server ). A remote clients smtp server denies to accept more than one incomming smtp connections from my site :-(. In my site users are always sending mail to this server ( 50 - 60 per day ). So

Always on the spot. It is "liberal in what it receives and conservative in how it sends". Since it is command line program, I can run it almost everywhere. It supports local mailboxes,

Claws is an active project.? I became roundcube free when I set up my own mail server. ? I simply use an email client rather than a browser. Browsers can leak. Comments about the retired TB: ?https://blog.mozilla.org/thunderbird/ -------------------- Practically what this means is that in 2016, Thunderbird will finally be able to accept donations from users directed toward the update and

[PATCH] file.access returns success for NA
Currently on R I get the following: > file.access(c("doesNotExist", NA)) doesNotExist <NA> -1 0 where 0 means success. Is the 0 correct? I was expecting either NA or -1. ?file.access does not mention how NA values should be handled. The subsection "3.3.4 NA handling" from the R Language Definition manual suggest to me that file.access should return NA if given

Hi Gents, (apologizes, new here...) I didn't find any hint on G**gle nor in the Dovecot archieve (maybe due to the lack of a search function :), so: I installed Doovecot, but can't get it going. dovecot 1.0.15 upgrading to dovecot 1.1.x or 1.2.x, and POP3 UIDL issue
Hi, We're upgrading a cluster of servers from v1.0.15 to v1.1.x or v1.2.x. It appears that the UIDL generation mechanism has changed, and thus we'll be getting POP3 dups with users that leave mail on server (which is a nasty practice, I know). From checking the sources, and performing a number of controlled tests in various scenarios, here is the outcome: upgrade from 1.0.15 to

Problem with sasl auth with postfix...
Hello list, I'm running into some problems, and I couldn't find any info about this anywhere on the net. I recently set up a new debian lenny machine, and used my notes from the last debian etch machine I set up, which basically is for postfix + dovecot for sasl auth. On my old etch box, in the dovecot.conf, in the auth default section, I have a socket listen { client { path
