KVM SSL with wget
Hi, I installed KVM on a CentOS 7.4 host. The guest is also installed in CentOS 7.4, the network works perfectly. Both Host and Guest machines have the same OS. I do not understand why I have an SSL error on the guest and not on the host while the two computers have the same OS installation. The firewalld, selinux, fail2ban services are not installed on host and guest. Is there an extra

Certificates Revocation Lists and Apache...
Hi, already asked in the openssl mailing list, but just in case you already went through this... I need a little help with Certificate Revocation Lists. I did setup client certificates filtering with apache and it seem to work fine so far (used a tutorial on http://www.adone.info/?p=4, down right now). I have a "CA" that is signing a "CA SSL". Then, the "CA SSL" is

Help setting up SSL?
Hi, Sorry to bother, I don't know if this mailing list is the right place to look for help setting up dovecot.. Anyway I've got standard IMAP working fine, and I used mkcert.sh after editing the openssl config, and it seemed to work properly (I had to change some directories, I am using the FreeBSD 5.1-CURRENT port).. Anyway, when I try to connect using Outlook, here is what the log

Mystery of email authentication
I'm trying to setup sendmail/dovecot on a new server running CentOS-6 (well, CentOS-6.2 now). Everything seems to go well, but when I run fetchmail I get this warning: ------------------------------------ [tim at grover ~]$ fetchmail imap.maths.tcd.ie fetchmail: Warning: the connection is insecure, continuing anyways. (Better use --sslcertck!) ------------------------------------ I should

samba + openldap + tls
Hi, I using openldap 2.0.23 and samba 2.2.4 on a Redhat 7.2 Linux distrib. I've compiled with ldap support dans It works fine in clear mode. I've configured unix auth. in order to use ldap on TLS mode, and it works also. When I try to use TLS more (or SSL on 636), it doesn't work. LDAP doesn't seem to have an error (see logs below), but samba tells "Failed to issue the

acessing LDAP via SSL
Hi there, I have Samba 2.2.3a configured to access openLDAP 2.0.18 for authentication. The autentication via ldap protocol works fine. Then I tried to enable SSL to connect samba with the LDAP server. Calling smbasswd generates this: #/usr/local/samba/bin/smbpasswd atuttle -D9 New SMB password: Retype new SMB password: ldap_open_connection: connection opened Bind failed: Can't contact LDAP

dovecot and ldaps://
Hi all, I've managed to get dovecot running with ldaps (ssl over port 636, not starttls). Btw, it's working right only if i specify "TLSVerifyClient never" in my slapd.conf. With any other parameter (like "TLSVerifyClient demand"), the bind fails with: connection_get(12) connection_get(12): got connid=0 connection_read(12): checking for input on id=0 TLS trace:

unknown users
Hi, can anyone tell me where these "unknown users" come from. As far as I see the fact, dovecot is asked by postfix to look for the password of the recipient-user (why ever). +++ Jan 7 19:43:09 f42252se postfix/smtpd[14625]: initializing the server-side TLS engine Jan 7 19:43:09 f42252se postfix/tlsmgr[14627]: open smtpd TLS cache btree:/var/lib/postfix/smtpd_scache Jan 7 19:43:09

SSL: Server CommonName mismatch: localhost.localdomain
Greetings, I have seen via google that this very problem was already discussed on several lists some months ago, but the archives report no solution. I have a remote server with dovecot 1.0-0_12.beta8 on Centos 4.3. IMAP works just fine: I can read email from both Squirrelmail via web and Kmail. Now I have created an ssl certificate on the server, and I'm trying to retrieve email via pop3s

Quota status to postfix in distributed environment
Hi I have implemented Quota status to postfix in our setup. I have an imap server (dovecot) and mail server (postfix) in every node. I am able to send quota status to postfix and mails are rejected after 100% mail quota is crossed. This rejection is happening both in across the nodes and within the nodes. The problem is if I am sending mails to any node and if any other node's dovecot is

postfix -1 read errors
Hi all. I?m a bit worried about the following read errors i see in my log lately. Mails still arrive and get sent fine, but what is going on with this? It doesn?t look good. Nothing has change on server side and i restarted all services (dovecot, postfix, saslauthd, sql ). Maybe it?s a temporary iPhone thing (the device im using to read and send mails, not the first time that happened. Maybe

transition from 1.x to 2? What did I break?
It?s been awhile since I set up my dovecot instance (like several years) and my transition from 1.x to 2 seems to have not gone well: all I can see is that authentication is banjaxed and I?m not sure what needs to be done to fix it. # 2.2.32 (dfbe293d4): /usr/local/etc/dovecot/dovecot.conf # OS: FreeBSD 10.3-STABLE i386 auth_debug = yes auth_mechanisms = plain login listen = *,[::] log_path =
