Hello Got strange problem with high system "%system load" and very slow user level programs (apache+php+mysql) behavior gstat shows 1.5-4% hard disk busy load but system shows about 20-30% load while user load is max 5%. vmstat shows from 2 to 35 process in "b" state. Now use 7.0-RELEASE-p5 , but the same problem was with 7.0-RELEASE. And have no idea what to do with this.

I suspect it''s probably not a good idea but I was wondering if someone could clarify the details. I have 4 250G SATA(150) disks and 1 250G PATA(133) disk. Would it cause problems if I created a raidz1 pool across all 5 drives? I know the PATA drive is slower so would it slow the access across the whole pool or just when accessing that disk? I am having problems with silent data corruption on (some) drives connected to an MCP55 SATA controller. I have two servers, both running RELENG_7_0/amd64. One has the 570 Ultra chipset, the other has 570 SLI. Both chipsets have the MCP55 SATA controller. The server with 570 Ultra chipset has a bunch of older 250GB SATA-150 drives hooked up to the MCP55 controller and it is working just fine.
