Update troubles for wxGTK apps
Hi,
I have a CentOS 5.2 desktop with the RPMForge repo enabled. I just ran
'yum update', and there seems to be some trouble with the wxGTK apps. A
simple 'yum update' gives this error message:

Was this not going to be fixed for dep resolution. I'm not on the
rpmforge list and remember this issue from a while ago.

pgadmin3 missing dependencies
I searched the list archives and I found one answer to this which
suggested I should install the PG yum repos. I don't like that
answer for reasons which follow.
I'm running Centos 6.0 freshly installed, and I've decided that with
this box I'm sticking as much as possible to just the CentOS repos
that go with that release. I figure in particular I do not need any

1.9.3 release, rakefile
Hi
I''d like to put out a 1.9.3 release perhaps later this week/weekend. If
you have a chance to test the build and samples esp with latest
rubygems, please do.
There are still some bugs on the list, and samples to do, but this
should address all the build/install probs that have come up. And it
would be good to get some testing and feedback on some of the new classes.

extras and vlc
What are the chances that a package such as vlc from http://videolan.org/vlc
would become included in extras? so a yum install vlc would work.
Thanks,
Jerry

New VLC (0.8.6) packages?
Anyone know where I could find this package for Centos 4.4 x86_64? I've
googled all over and haven't been able to find anything more current the
0.8.4a.
I'm not much of a programmer, but if someone could point me at a
"packaging for dummies" perhaps I could have a go at creating a package
if one doesn't already exist?
Cheers,

vlc?
Hey, folks,
a co-worker raves that vlc is the bestestplaysthemostformats media
player there is, including being able to resize videos. I see it's only
over on repoforge for CentOS, but trying to install it at home (I'm
running 5.8, 32-bit), it wants about 30 or more dependencies, and one
or two of them, of course, have conflicts.
Has anyone installed it in a 5.x environment? If so,

Asterisk Channel and VLC
Is it possible to bridge a media stream, lets say created by VLC on to an
Asterisk channel?
What I would ideally like to do is - When mobile dial into my Asterisk
server, follow through some security/prompts then, through the dialplan
launch VLC as an external application. VLC would connect to an internet
radio service and stream/connect to my channel, when I clear down the VLC
app is killed.
