doveadm index - Bug or expected behaviour?
My ldap config is using the variable %d in base search for domain replacement when dovecot will search for users in LDAP. Its works fine for dovecot operation. But, for doveadm index, not. It ignores that variable and tries to pass a base search without domain. So, the search will not working. This is the command: # doveadm -v index -A INBOX This is my config: # cat

Get last uidNumber
Hello, is there a way to get the last uidNumber from ldap. I can do a ldapsearch like: ldapsearch -h samdom.example.com -D "administrator at samdom.example.com" -w "changeit" -b "DC=samdom,DC=example,DC=com" -x -LLL "(uidNumber=*)" uidNumber | grep -Po "(?<=uidNumber: )([0-9]{4})" | sort | tail -n1 But there is no guarantee that the last

Samba 4 Active Directory Quotas
I've been messing around with disk quotas for users and have seen some who have extended the Samba 4 AD schema to include a quota attribute. For example, I found this schema extension here: http://fossies.org/linux/quota/ldap-scripts/quota.schema Is there a common method for doing this? -- Greg J. NIS extensions - only 3 of 55 entries present
I have a test setup of samba 4.1.6 under ubuntu 14.04. When I do the query shown at https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Using_RFC2307_on_a_Samba_DC#Check_if_NIS_Extensions_are_installed_in_your_Directory it shows I have the ypServ30 container installed. If I change this query to -s sub then I find 3 entries in that subtree (see [1] below) However the full schema in
