errors during samba_dnsupdate
I joined a Samba server to a Windows 2003 server. As far as I can see, replication works, but sometimes there are errors like this: ; TSIG error with server: tsig verify failure Failed nsupdate: 2 update (nsupdate): SRV _ldap._tcp.Default-First-Site- Name._sites.ForestDnsZones.domain.local server03.domain.local 389 Calling nsupdate for SRV _ldap._tcp.Default-First-Site-

samba_dnsupdate --all-names -> dns_tkey_negotiategss: TKEY is unacceptable
Hi Rowland, we ran samba_updatedns because we get the error "ERROR_DNS_UPDATE_FAILED" when joining a Samba-host to the domain. We go by the wiki https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Troubleshooting_Samba_Domain_Members#DNS_Update_failed:_ERROR_DNS_UPDATE_FAILED and we checked the dynmaic DNS update as written in the wiki: https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Testing_Dynamic_DNS_Updates

pdc emulator dns record missing after transferring role
Rowland, I've encountered an issue with connecting to the samba DC's DNS service from DNS Manager tool (under Windows). It says "Active Directory service is not available". While digging into it, I've found the samba rpc worker throws an error: [pid 18398] geteuid() = 0 [pid 18398] write(3, "[2020/03/18 18:36:21.694834, 2]

New DNS-Records not aviable
@Heinz, Thanks for testing also, but what is your samba version, OS and packages samba of compiled samba. To keep info bit more complete @Christian, can you try purge the deleted DNS records. Can you also add the debug 10 log, shown below to this bugreport. https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=14268 I'll retest it here later on today with a few more zones. But i must finish some

samba dc dns issue
Hi, After joining samba DC (vm-dc4) to MS AD, I've discovered that most DNS entries were not populated. Below are the only entries in the AD for the new DC: domain.com:VM-DC4 900 A 172.26.1.84 _msdcs.domain.com:d14c4206-79e3-441f-868a-6c693415256a 900 CNAME vm-dc4.domain.com. Please, help me figure out what's going on. Here is the excerpt from log.samba:

pdc emulator dns record missing after transferring role
Hi Alex I've had the same DNS manager issue. I've opened a bug (https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=14310) and reported on the mailing list (https://lists.samba.org/archive/samba/2020-March/228772.html) No fix yet. After upgrade to 4.9.4, internal DNS no longer working
I could really use some support with this. I understand it's always possible to just restore from a backup but the more interesting question is if something can be done with the data at hand. Basically, I'm trying to understand how it's possible that a dbcheck shows no errors, an ldbsearch is successful, and yet it's not possible to start the AD properly. What else is there that

After upgrade to 4.9.4, internal DNS no longer working
The two systems I'm referring to are on different domains, different locations. No connection whatsoever except me being the one administering both. According to oEMInformation the server was provisioned by 4.3.3. I just checked the Samba log file and it seems that version 4.7.4 was running before the update. I'm now looking at the logs right before the upgrade and indeed, there have
