Samba4 shares slow
Hi there I set up a POC domain with multiple DCs, multiple remote sites and samba shares. This POC is a simulation of a whole samba3 domain migration. Users, and groups have been imported from the older domain to the new one. Here's the setup: ("Remote sites" are actually different subnets on the same location for the POC) *Main Site*: DC1 (RHEL7 - samba 4.6.4) DC2 (RHEL7 -

Hello List, I'm running a Samba ADS on Debian 9, Samba version 4.5.12-Debian. Right now I'll try to add a Domain member - also running Samba version 4.5.12-Debian. Thanks to Loius and Rowland, this howto guided me a lot in the right direction: https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Setting_up_Samba_as_a_Domain_Member But right now I'll get stuck. It seems that the configuration is ok -

Samba4 multiple DCs replication
Hai Julien, Ah, ok, then im suspecting a regression bug here. For some reason somethings this happens, if you've had rebooted the servers, it would probely be fixed also. There where some older reports on this, but good to know its back or still there A manual run of : samba_dnsupdate --all-names --verbose Should/could helped to fix it also. And Thank you for the quick reply. Greetz,

CentOS7 and NFS
Hi, I need some help with NFSv4 setup/tuning. I have a dedicated nfs server (2 x E5-2620? 8cores/16 threads each, 64GB RAM, 1x10Gb ethernet and 16x 8TB HDD) used by two servers and a small cluster (400 cores). All the servers are running CentOS 7, the cluster is running CentOS6. Time to time on the server I get: ?kernel: NFSD: client xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx testing state ID with incorrect

Samba4 - Interdomain trust with samba3
Hello, I'm actually migrating resources from an old samba3/LDAP  (DOMAINA) to a Samba4 domain (DOMAINB) . I succeded in populating Samba4 users and groups from the old one. Now both domain live together during the migration i would like to set up an interdomain trust between the 2 domains so that samba4 users can still have access to samba shares on the old samba3 domain. So it would be

migrating files for centos virtualization, virtual disk no longer boots.
All, I am playing with virtualization on centos 5. I took my old redhat 7 disks and created a 10GIG virtual disk, I installed redhat 7. Now I am trying to get the EXACT image copied off of my actual redhat 7 disk so that I know it is the same (including all patches, updates and OTHER things I did to it that I have forgotten about). I booted the redhat 7 image just fine at this point. I also

I think you have to define a topology of the domain, using ADSS: https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/canitpro/2015/03/03/step-by-step-setting-up-active-directory-sites-subnets-site-links/ defining links and weight. -- dott.
