CIFS Null Session Vulnerability Fix in Samba 3.5.10
Hi Volker, Reaching to RedHat is not the option for me right now, could you please tell me are there any configuration parameters in smb.conf which will avoid issuing NULL or Anonymous connections or sessions. Increasing database size limit
Hi Volker, First I apologize for very late reply. I did tests in the meantime... Trust relationships are the option we keep in mind. As trusts are for now bidirectional-full-trust they give us possibility to increase domain size. If we have to split our domain we will split in one domain for users and another for computers (meaning users' MS Windows computers as they need to be included into

Samba 4.3.x - only AUTH with AD (no Domain Join of Samba) ?
Hello Volker, if I understand right, that is not possible. The Samba Server has to be Join to the Domain and then it will work !? Ah, a workaround! I'd seen something like this on an old thread but I've always tried to stay away from socket options. I'll give these a try. Thanks for your help P.S.: strange that I don't see more people "complaining" about this.... Hi all, SambaXP is coming up in G?ttingen, Germany (May 3rd - 7th, 2010). http://sambaxp.org/ I know the economy sucks, and travel budgets are really hard to find, but if you're a Samba OEM, vendor or serious user you really should be there :-). Hack with the developers ! The SambaXP hack room is full of people solving problems with the same code you ship to customers. Benefit from intense

poor samba performance with many smaller files
Hi, I did use wireshark to verify that the client (window7) is not the problem, client is sending out multiple "SMB2 Create request" packets before he gets some answer. On the server side samba is processing this requests in a synchronous way, in order which they were send, that is what I see from strace output.
