In A UEFI World, "rm -rf /" Can Brick Your System
Excerpt: Running rm -rf / on any UEFI Linux distribution can potentially perma-brick your system. As a public service announcement, recursively removing all of your files from / is no longer recommended. On UEFI distributions by default where EFI variables are accessible via /sys, this can now mean trashing your UEFI implementation. There is this systemd bug report requesting that UEFI variables

Feature request: rewindable resampler
Hello. As you probably know, PulseAudio uses the resampler from libspeexdsp by default. As a PulseAudio contributor, I have a feature request. As you can see from old publications [1,2] by Lennart Poettering, PulseAudio has a "timer-based scheduling" feature which is now active by default. PulseAudio attempts to use as high latency as possible (sometimes up to 2 seconds) in order

[PATCH] Btrfs: add a disk info ioctl to get the disks attached to a filesystem
This was a request from the systemd guys. They need a quick and easy way to get all devices attached to a Btrfs filesystem in order to check if any of the disks are SSD for...something, I didn''t ask :). I''ve tested this with the btrfs-progs patch that accompanies this patch. Thanks, Signed-off-by: Josef Bacik <josef@redhat.com> --- fs/btrfs/ioctl.c | 64

Dovecot - Microsoft Azure AD
Hello, I am currently trying to connect my Dovecot mail server to Microsoft's Azure-AD and use it as password and user database. I am using version 2.3.7.1. Using the Azure-AD as passdb already works. In this context I noticed that the scope implementation is not yet merged. Since I haven't found any hints for an OAuth2 userdb implementation yet, I wanted to ask if there are any plans

libao todos
Ben, Thanks for taking an interest in libao. Just so you know, there are a couple of things outstanding. Jeff Waugh asked whether we'd be willing to relicense libao so it can be used with proprietary applications. We have permission from the original authors to do this (either LGPL or BSD) and from Lennart Poettering, but not for most of the plugins. So if we did this the next release

[PATCH 2/2] customize: firstboot: Install firstboot scripts in multi-user.target (RHBZ#1469655).
When the guest uses systemd, install firstboot scripts under ‘multi-user.target’. See this link for details: https://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/systemd-devel/2017-July/039325.html This fixes firstboot on Fedora 26 (and in general with systemd >= 233). If my memory doesn't fail me, long ago it was one of the tricky questions in sysadmin exam (not that anymore if I read what you, Michael, write further correctly...). Anyway,

[LLVMdev] Unimplemented documentation
Hi, Is there some documentation about what has not been implemented yet? I'm trying to use vectors and I just run into one thing after another that seem to be missing. (I.e., fcmp on vectors doesn't work; trying to do the same thing with expanded instructions doesn't work; select on a vector doesn't work) -- Lennart
