creating Kerberos host principals for multiple hostnames, multihomed server
Hai, >Those machines need a working Kerberos login via multiple hostnames >(each hostname has its own IP address and DNS is set up correctly.) looks to me a bit overkill, but you wil have your reasons this a setup like this.. so.. you can try this.. asumming this : REALM=MY.REALM.TLD DNSDOMAIN=my.domain.tld and a serviceaccount the spn's. You can also use the existing

Hi Talur, I've successfully got Gluster deployed as a DaemonSet using k8s spec file glusterfs-daemonset.json from https://github.com/heketi/heketi/tree/master/extras/kubernetes but then when I try deploying heketi using heketi-deployment.json spec file, I end up with a CrashLoopBackOff pod. # kubectl get pods NAME READY STATUS RESTARTS AGE

gluster-heketi-kubernetes
Hi, I'm trying to deploy Gluster and Heketi on a Kubernetes cluster I'm following the guide at https://github.com/gluster/gluster-kubernetes/ but the video referenced in the page is showing json files used while the git repo has only yaml files, they are quiet similar though, but Gluster is a deployment not a DaemonSet. I deploy Gluster DaemonSet successfully, but heketi is giving me the

Hi Bishoy, Adding Talur who can help address your queries on Heketi. @wattsteve's github repo on glusterfs-kubernetes is a bit dated. You can either refer to gluster/gluster-kubernetes or heketi/heketi for current documentation and operational procedures. write a bunch of objects to files
Hello all, I've got a bunch of objects I'd like to write to .csv files. For example, I have objects conveniently called n002.csv n001.csv p103.csv . . . I tried a loop: > for(i in ls(pattern="csv")) +write.table(i, file=i, sep=",", quote=F) That, of course, wrote out a bunch of files that contained x 1, n002.csv Or the like. How can I get i in the loop above

SUMMARY: Samba 2.0 and passwords
I would like to see those of us who send an inquiry to this list also send a summary of what fixed the problem so that someone in the future could find the answer. I searched archives for an answer and only found questions. Since a lot of folks reply ot individuals then even the replies don't end up in the archives and so it would be nice if summaries were sent to the list. Anyway, enough

Samba, Clearcase, and multiple credentials
This falls under the 'getting clearcase to work with samba' category. Does anybody know if the clearcase albd server actually uses samba to access files (or anything else) on the unix side? I am having 'discussions' with rational (the clearcase people). The nt user running clearcase to access some unix-side views connects to the unix side using a set of credentials that have

NFSv4, homes, Kerberos...
I was used to integrate some linux client in my samba network mounting homes with 'unix extensions = yes', and works as expected, at least with some old lubuntu derivatives. Client side i use 'pam_mount'. Now i'm working on a ubuntu mate derivative, and i've not found a way to start the session properly in CIFS. If i create a plain local home (pam_mkhome), session start as

NFS/RDMA connection closed
Hi, we are having a problem with NFS using RDMA protocol over our FDR10 Infiniband network. I previously wrote to NFS mailing list about this, so you may find our discussion there. I have taken some load off the server which was using NFS for backups, and converted it to use SSH, but we are still having critical problems with NFS clients losing connection to the server, causing the clients

Thank you for that, i did have a good look at that one. And i use Debian 9, if you test what i posted below in the thread, you will see NFSv4 works fine. Below is missing one more thing, the "allow to delegate (kerberos only) " on the computer object in the AD, should be enabled. And yes, i've see bugchecks also but only on my debian .. Lenny..
