disable imap for ldap user
hi there, I have a LDAP dir with an attribute set to 0 or 1 and in my old setup (a courier server) I used this attribute to map it to an authoption called disableimap. This prevent users to access the mailbox with imap protocol. So the question is what should I set in dovecot to get the same behaviour? I looked at the docs but the part with the pass_ilter and service doesn't really

disable imap for ldap user
no this is not the intented behaviour for thsi attribute. In general every user can use pop3 but only a few can use imap so what I want is: - permit pop3 by default - check if the attribute is 0 or 1 - depending on the result a user can login with imap protocol regards Markus Am 08.09.2017 um 17:59 schrieb Ralph Seichter: > On 08.09.2017 17:11, Markus Rosjat wrote: > >> I

migrate courier to dovecot and forward mail like maildrop does it
Hi there, I was wondering what's the way to go if I want to migrate my courier/maildrop setup to dovecot/sieve? Is it even possible or do I need something else? The approach of using maildrop with postfix just hit the fan because I'm to dumb to configure it :( so with maildrop I have a .mailfilter file with cc "!some_email at some_domain.tld" and this just works like a

Hello R experts, I've been searching for weeks a way to use my quad core xeon to increase speed of a very-very computer-intensive simulation I must do for my works. It seems that most purpose-made packages for R : Snow, Rmpi, snowfall,... are designed for Linux based OS. I do not have access to Linux due to professionnal reasons ... so I must work with windows XP. Do somebody know a way to

Hello, My question sounds simple, but as I am desperatly searchin for a solution I am asking you all. :) I try to filter out all non-numeric columns of a data frame using a for loop to go through all columns. My if clause looks like this:         for(j in 1:length(data)) {                 ...                 if(!is.numeric(data[j])) skip <- "not numeric")                 ...

Q: rsync, Windows, --backup-dir, parameters
Hi, I've seen a page on the internet : http://optics.ph.unimelb.edu.au/help/rsync/rsync_pc1.html Seems to me that I have some problems running the rsync binary with "--backup-dir=PATH" options. The command below runs just fine except for the option above. C:\rsync>rsync --delete -b --backup --backup-dir=/cygdrive/c/Doc/backup/Fri -ave ssh /cygd rive/c/Doc/backup/desktop/

2.0.5a configure bug fcntl test on automounted source dir
Hello, I believe that I have found a bug in the 2.0.5a configure process. If the source tarball is extracted to an automounted directory, and you run configure, it will fail the fcntl_lock test, resulting in this message at the end of the configure process: WARNING: No locking available. Running Samba would be unsafe To verify that the automounted directory is the problem, I put an "exit

[new user] some features requests ...
Hi, After many tries, i''ve decided to give up dynamic websites, which definitely do not match my needs, and instead replace my blog by a webgen site. I''ve however some unanswered questions. 1) RSS One of the main interest of dynamic website is the ability to provide user a view to last updated pages, thanks to RSS. System node authenticaton error
Hi I am having problems with machine authentication on an NT workstation 4.0 SP6a client. The current version of samba is 2.0.4b complied on Sequent/Dynix 4.4.8. We are using "smbd" and "nmbd" as services launched from the inetd file. No restrictive or secure components have been enabled. The "smb.conf" simply has the appropriate mount options defined. password authenticaton secure ?
My question is regarding the possibility of someone wiretapping the communication and repeat the action. What if an intruder notice that there's a secure session starting (by guessing at the dst IP address and unintelligible payload) and then start capturing all the packets on this session for the purpose of repeating the whole session again? The secure user could add/delete interfaces and

Below is some of my configuration: smb.conf: (partial) winbind separator = + winbind uid = 10000-20000
