Replacement for antispam plugin
Hi! Since antispam plugin is deprecated and we would really prefer people not to use it, we wrote instructions on how to replace it with IMAPSieve. Comments and suggestions are most welcome. https://wiki.dovecot.org/HowTo/AntispamWithSieve --- Aki Tuomi Dovecot oy

Here's my 90-public.conf file: #cat 90-public.conf # Public mailboxes namespace { type = public separator = / prefix = Public/ location =

Transitioning away from mail_location = maildir:~
Hi Chris, >I have since learned that mail_home and mail_location should be >different. I plan to use this: I'm interested about any sources for this ? I find dovecot to be very flexible, so much that you can actual have the home dir inside the maildir instead of the traditional other way around, which is actually my setup ! In /etc/dovecot/conf.d/auth-sql.conf.ext userdb {

dovecot doesn't see my mails ?
Dear dovecot users. I have an odd issue in that when I connect to my dovecot server from either a local or remote system I can't see my test emails (I have the impression that is is looking at the wrong location on disk). here are some details.... # dovecot -n # 2.1.7: /etc/dovecot/dovecot.conf # OS: Linux 2.6.32-5-xen-amd64 x86_64 Debian 6.0.3 auth_debug = yes auth_debug_passwords = yes

Mailboxes not showing up in MS Outlook
Sat, 19 Jul 2014 15:03:03 -0400 I am not sure exactly where the problem is here. I am using a sieve script that sorts various incoming messages into their own mailbox. MS Outlook does not show those folders if they are not directly under INBOX. EXAMPLE: drwx------ 31 vmail vmail 1.0K 2014-07-19 14:46:55 EDT ./ drwx------ 3 vmail vmail 512B 2014-07-02 13:52:03 EDT ../ drwx------ 5

file_dotlock_create(~/.dovecot.lda-dupes) failed: No such file or directory
Hi, I am having some problems with my vacation messages using dovecot. The mail is send without problems, and the auto-respond is working as well. But its always auto-responding, because the lda-dupes file can't be created. See mail log below: Nov 16 13:43:03 mail003 postfix/smtpd[6501]: connect from mail-bw0-f211.google.com[209.85.218.211] Nov 16 13:43:03 mail003 postfix/smtpd[6501]:

Dovecot + SpamAssassin through dovecot-antispam
Hello, I am new to the list. /Waving at everyone/ I got a basic SpamAssassin working on a Debian setup (w/ debian-spamd user), running as a Postfix transport. I am currently trying to switch it to a dovecot plugin in order to make it interactively work with the email storage (react to mail classification, being able to train it from already received emails, aso.) My problem is now making it

Having trouble getting Dovecot to read a ~/Maildir configuration
Hi folks Setting up a new server, hence a few software packages have been upgraded / changed. On my old server (only 2 years old) I was using Dovecot and RoundCube (web mail app) and had a good experience so was keen to use these again. The only major change is I have switched from sendmail to exim4 (which was installed by default on this Debian server). Exim4 appears to be doing the right

Assuming '8' = mail, i cannot see anything wrong here... Can you turn on 'mail_debug=yes' and attempt folder deletion, and check logs after that? I guess you have had different version(s) or setting(s) in the past, and you can probably fix this by setting perms to same as the new folders.
