CentOS 7.5
Hi All - Just checking on "expected" 7.5 release - I'm guessing its very close. On a side note... I played with CR enabled it and did the update, my /etc/redhat-release still says the old 7.4... I was thinking it would say something different for CR. Anyway looking forward to 7.5! Thanks, Jerry

CentOS 7.5 Nautilus 100% reproducible crash.
Pardon me, but I forgot to add that right after this crash, htop as root shows the VBoxClient service running maxed on one core until system is rebooted. Not sure if it is CentOS bug or VirtualBox bug because this did not happen in 7.4 on same version of VirtualBox, and unfortunately I don't have access to a bare metal machine on which to install and test. -----Original Message----- From:

webkit on CentOS 7.4
Hello is the webkit with CentOS 7.4 compiled with ENABLE_MEDIASOURCE ? When I call the set_media_source function with TRUE and then ask get_media_source function for the value it returns TRUE. I presume it would no return TRUE if its not enabled. However, my webpage with a video tag using webkit is not finding the MediaSource. Thanks, Jerry

Question on CentoS 7.4 on nvidia
If you need to use a non stock kernel, you can also try to download the latest driver directly from nvidia. The nvidia official driver is very easy to install and works with almost all kernel versions. It can also be easily uninstalled too. CentOS 8 and xvidtune and Nouveau
I have an old laptop W530 I put CentOS 8 on. I was trying to install xvidtune - seems to not be available ? Thought that was part of X. Also trying to get Nouveau to be a higher resolution than 1024x768. I found the wiki, but adding video= to the kernel command line and regen grub did not do anything. Other documentation there seemed OLD. Anyone know how to correctly get Nouveau in

confused with 2 boxes centos 5
Hi All, I had a box centos5 AMD64 X2 4200+, Asus motherboard, Nvidia 7100 video card, 512M, when playing a video at 1080p it did well but had a couple times went out of sync. So amd dropped its price and I got a 5200+, gigabyte motherboard, Nvidia 7100 video card, 512M. This FASTER system is actually slower. The video is WAY behind on sync. I have looked at the X config they are the same. I

Question on CentoS 7.4 on nvidia
I installed the elrepo kmod-nvidia and also the nvidia-detect and modules (see below). I had X working with the 3.10 from Centos - but video was freezing. SO I thought I would try the elrepo kernel. I installed that and X does not come up? How do I re-make the nvidia module for 4.14.5 kernel? I want to make sure the kmod kernel did it. I 'm thinking it did not. lspci | grep VGA says

CentOS 7 pcp-pmda-nvidia-gpu SELinux problems
Hi all, I installed Performance Co-Pilot 3 days ago, and installed the nVidia PMDA according to the instructions at https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-US/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Linux/6/html/Performance_Tuning_Guide/ch03s03s02.html and was able to view metrics about my video card using pmchart. I then played around a little with the lmsensors PMDA (but it doesn't look too useful to me -
