I`m not sure if in this list I can post this problem, but...
I`m trying compile swfdec in windows platform (with mingw) and I find
many errors in the make process, some in compilance process (some

But I can?t solve the bellow problem in make process:

Compiling thunderbird
I'm following this thread here
http://www.centos.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=23749&forum=38
to build an rpm for thunderbird 3.1.6/3.1.7 from source. While it works
well on i386, compilation fails for x86_64. Any advice how to fix the spec
file?

R-2.12.0 hangs while installing some packages on FreeBSD
I am working with R-2.12.0 on FreeBSD 9.0-CURRENT for a while now. I
successfully installed more than 300 packages (most as dependencies of
others).
There are two packages I am not able to install: RGtk2 and rggobi.
For example rggobi builds fine and after that it wants to load:
------------------------------------------------------
# R CMD INSTALL rggobi_2.1.16.tar.gz
[..SNIP..]

anyone has C++ STL classes stability issue if used with R
Hello,
is there any one who uses C++ STL classes when programming shared libs
for R and has had any problems with STL?
In the very simple example below I am constantly getting segfaults when
trying to populate the queue. The segfault occurs at what looks like a
random index in the loop when pushing another element to the queue.
Reproduced on 4 machines. Object x is an Image as in EBImage,

Problem compiling cairo-dock under CentOS 5.2
I am trying to compile cairo-dock from source (failing to find an existing
package for CentOS). I believe all dependencies are satisfied, but while
doing "make", at some point it says (I can provide the full make output if
it's needed):
gcc -g -O2 -o cairo-dock -Wl,--export-dynamic
cairo_dock-cairo-dock-callbacks.o cairo_dock-cairo-dock.o
cairo_dock-cairo-dock-dbus.o

Asterisk 1.8 Installation Problem
Hi,
We want to upgrade both our servers to asterisk 1.8, the one from Romania and the one from Chicago, but for the moment I`m trying to install Asterisk 1.8 on a test machine running CentOS 5.5 with the kernel: Linux asterisk3 2.6.18-194.17.4.el5PAE #1 SMP Mon Oct 25 16:35:27 EDT 2010 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux .
I`ve tried many things from the forums and mailing lists but none seemed to help me.

Hi Richard,
As per your suggestion we removed pango-devel and build was successful. Thank you!
After the delivery, our customer reported another error related to virt-resize as below:

dispatch_incoming_message: unknown procedure number 458, set
LIBGUESTFS_PATH to point to the matching libguestfs appliance directory

Compiling problem on Ubuntu 9.10 64 bit
Hello,
I''m trying to compile wxruby for Ruby 1.9 on Ubuntu Karmic 64 bit, but I
can''t get it to work. I''ve already done this for the 32 bit version (on
another machine, of course), so I don''t see where''s the problem with
that. I thought, I had all neccessary libraries installed, but maybe you
know better... After compiling for a long time, rake fails

Buildbot doesn build hal
Charles,
It looks like the buildbot no longer builds (if it ever did, I don
remember) the HAL addons, even if the requirements are met:
configure:9680: checking for libhal version via pkg-config (0.5.8
minimum required)
configure:9690: result: 0.5.11 found
configure:9694: checking for libhal cflags via pkg-config
configure:9703: result: -DDBUS_API_SUBJECT_TO_CHANGE
-I/usr/include/hal

How is this possible?
As an experiment, I am attempting to build a more recent version of
GNOME than 2.16.0 on CentOS 5.1. I've tried both garnome and jhbuild,
and neither one works quite right. Jhbuild blows out looking for a
dbus-glib-1 revision >= 0/74 (the release rev is 0.70), so I
downloaded that and tried to build it. This results in the following
error:
gcc -g -O2 -Wall -Wchar-subscripts

Compile failure
Hi:
I can't compile upstream now, it seems the gobject ld error, maybe I need install something, but I'm
not familiar with gobject.
Maybe we need to add something more to check if we should enable gobject bindings?
error message is below:
