do darkice and shout play together well
Mixice (www.lns.com/papers/mixice) does. I have it running on FreeBSD 4.x machines for KKSF, KPFA, KFCF, etc. for a live MP3 stream (icecast 1.x.x). I will have an OGG version of it soon as we have some demand for better quality streams. Turn on SIP debugging from DialPlan
The SIP trace will be adequate but this is on a remote system with limited disk space. I would love to turn on debugging while making the troublesome calls, then turn it off afterward. Tcpdump is great, but starting it and stopping it and keeping all that data would still be an issue. d On Fri, Feb 17, 2017 at 4:56 PM, Tim Pozar <pozar at lns.com> wrote: > Why not capture the packets

FreePBX 2.1.0: Manually rewriting
do you have selinux enabled? It should not be. p p.s. - if it comes to re-installing, you can backup all your settings with the freepbx backup utility and then restore so that you don't have to re-enter everything. FreePBX, Asterisk and Twinkle - Testing a new setup
I am experimenting with Asterisk having downloaded and installed the FreePBX i386 CentOS-6.3 based distro and updated it. The current package level on this system is: asterisk11-11.3.0-49_centos6 freepbx-2.11.0beta2-112 I am using twinkle-1.4.2-7.el6 as a softphone testing tool. There is no firewall on the asterisk host and SELinux is disabled on it. Fail2Ban is installed but I have made no

Dahdi and FreePBX
Perhaps this more belongs on the FreePBX list, but for the archives, this is what I did to make it work: chan_dahdi wants to read /etc/asterisk/chan_dahdi.conf FreePBX, at least how I installed from source, seems to think I am still running Zaptel. It created zapata_additional.conf when I added two ZAP channels. For some unknown reason it did NOT create zapata.conf, although the sample was

GURUs - How to monitor all MySQL actions on an Asterisk/FreePBX server?
Hi Guys, This is something related and yet un-related to Asterisk. I have a FreePBX/Asterisk server running and I want to trace everything that FreePBX does to MySQL. Is there a verbose CLI to MySQL that I can pull up on terminal and make configuration change to FreePBX and see it in real-time on the terminal as to what is added to which MySQL table and where? FreePBX 2.1.0: Manually rewriting extensions_additional.conf
Figuring I knew what I was doing (I didn't - surprise) I added a totally unnecessary line in /etc/asterisk/extensions_additional.conf a couple of days ago. Troubleshooting a dialing rule issue, I'm now realizing that FreePBX is updating its database with the new settings but is not rewriting/updating extensions_additional.conf with the changes I'm making. I've tried renaming the

New CentOS 5 repo: dahdi, asterisk, freepbx RPMs
Dear list, I've set up an RPM repository with several asterisk-related RPMs that I think contain some improvements upon what are already out there. The first goal is to be able to build an Asterisk + FreePBX system on CentOS 5 with the EPEL repo enabled; in our environment, where all our systems are under configuration management, either an appliance-type solution or a manual

[OT-FreePBX] Outbound calls check inbound routes to see if destination is local?
Greetings- First, my apologies for the OT post. Yes, I understand this is not the FreePBX-users mailing list. But, there are a large number of people that use FreePBX and I'm hoping they can be of assistance. I have a system running Asterisk 1.4.27 (see... relevance!!!) and FreePBX 2.6.0. There are a large number of inbound routes configured for the various DID's coming in via PRI, SIP,

Raw asterisk x FreePbx .conf
All my experience on asterisk was gained through configuring Trixbox, so a ready to go Asterisk system. Now i?m trying to install a server from scratch, so this question arose. When installing freepbx, the .conf files are written, when installing asterisk nothing is written unless I run the Make Samples. 1. Basic features like parking calls, transfering calls, contexts, and so on have to
