Asterisk repository: asterisk14-addons-mysql
Hello, We have chosen to upgrade our Trixbox installations (2.6.2.3, asterisk 1.4.20) and everything work smooth. The problem we face now is that asterisk14-addons-mysql looks to have not been compiled with uniqueID feature and we are asking your opinion about what should be the best fix for this problem. Our workarround was to overwrite (from backup) the cdr_addon_mysql.so module, but this is

AsteriskNOW 1.5 upgrade from 1.4 to 1.6
This link (http://blogs.digium.com/2008/10/13/asterisknow-15-beta-available-more-coming-soon/ ) seems to indicate that in order to upgrade AsteriskNOW v1.5 from Asterisk 1.4 to 1.6, it's as easy as installing an upgrade package. Does anyone know where to find that upgrade package? If it doesn't yet exist, what is the process for upgrading?

I have a couple of VOIP phones via SIP and one Wildcard TDM400P REV I with 3 FXS and one FXO port. I am using the same extensions.conf with as few mods as possible. Obviously I have had to convert from a

Cross-compiling asterisk-1.4 for Debian on a slug
Hi folks! I planned to put asterisk-1.4 on my slug (one of these embedded devices). Since i don't want to compile it natively on this slow processor, i need a cross-compile toolchain. I tried out several ways such as manually compiling binutils and gcc, or using scratchbox. All of these with the result that i got binaries for machines except the one i wanted! :( I then have been given a link

asterisk-gplonly dependency in asterisk-addons RPM
It seems that asterisk-addons and one or more of Digium's licensed modules such as res_fax_digium have a conflict that doesn't seem to be documented anywhere I can find. In a nutshell, asterisk14-addons-core has a fake provide for asterisk-gplonly : # # core subpackage # %package core Summary: Asterisk-addons core package. Sine Dialer, GNU dialer, VICIDial and others slightly OT?
Hello All, I have a requirement to setup a predictive dialer for a customers call center. I am asking for pros and cons of the different dialers available for Asterisk. If you are going to send marketing material send it to my e-mail directly please and not to the list. I was hoping to get the opinions of any one using any of these dialers and what they liked and didn't like, ease of

* 1.4 -> 1.6, zaptel -> dahdi
This has got to be an FAQ, so if someone can point me to where it is answered, I would be greatly appreciated. The documentation for all this stuff is scattered and (to me at least) either very sketchy or hard to find. What I want is a guide for how to convert from 1.4 with zaptel to 1.6 with dahdi. All the recent kernel vulnerabilities are forcing me to upgrade my home server from

Autodialer / bulk dialer application
Hi all- I have asterisk running on 2 systems, with four E1 spans each. Each system is connected to a (big) NT DMS-100 switch. For load testing an IVR system running on one of the asterisk systems, I'd like to use the other system to generate a lot of outbound calls under program control - on most or all of its channels simultaneously. All of the asterisk dialplan and agi programming

Dial out from script. Mini predictive dialer
Howdy, I need some pointers (ideas or help) to build a solution to retrieve recordings out of an IVR. The program needs to do some predictive dialing functions I only need it to: 1) Be able on it's own to make a call (to the same number inside this script). 2) Detect that the call has been answered and that it has finished. I need some sort of AGI but it needs to run on it's own, i.e.

Predictive Dialer, Web & Inbound Phone System
Currently I have a predictive dialer that is web-enabled, as well as a superdialer mechanism. I was wondering what kind of success people have had with their dialers (lessons learned, etc.) and how I need some direction on how to seamlessly integrate an inbound system with the predictive dialer. My thoughts are that inbound phone calls will be routed to a receptionist first, who will then

Record the output to a WAV (or GSM) file, and 5. exit Any quick pointers would be greatly

Re: card dialer phone (thanks for the info!)
Folks, Thanks to Jerry Jones, David Josephson, John Novack, and George Cohn for their posts about how a key system phone works. Now I'm starting to scrounge around for a KSU so I can look into the Collector's Net work :-) Most of the phones in the house are (fairly) new single-line analog jobs; but, since "retro-telephony" is an amusing part of this hobby, it seems only

Asterisk MSOutlook Dialer
Hello everyone, we just wrote a little MSOutlook address book dialer interfaced with Asterisk. It is a small (400k) exe that you need to install. It is completely free to use, either for educational purpose or otherwise. You can download it at http://www.voip.com.sg/voip_products/voip_asterisk_outlook_dialer.html . Please send your comments to me directly as I am the developer for it. With
