Sending Calls via SIP trunk from several different IP addresses from same Asterisk Machine, to the same destination IP
Hi, Unfortunately this is not the case. For some reasons (separation, fraud detection) they separate the customer using their source IP address. So I am still looking for some solution. Streaming MoH from iHeart radio?
Hi all, I have a user who would like to stream their favorite radio station from iHeart radio for their music on hold. It this TECHNICALLY possible? If so, any pointers would be appreciated. Is this LEGAL in the US? Thanks in advance, Mike. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

Lightweight ODBC DB
Glenn, I can't use MySQL as each node currently has MySQL however there is a lot of data that is stored locally on each box. I may have to take this route if I can't find something else but that would mean syncing all sorts of data that does not need to be synced. Installing Asterisk on MAC native
?I need to install Asterisk on a MAC, native, no virtualization. Has anybody done this? Are there documents on the Internet? I googled it and all web sites that claimed to help installing Asterisk on a MAC have disappeared. Is it possible at all? Digium should actually have a MAC app in the Apple store with a PBX. It should be a paid app. I would buy it right away. ? -------------- next part

Lightweight ODBC DB
Hi, I am running several Asterisk boxes with realtime around the world. Does anyone have a recommendation for a "light" db that would work with Asterisk that would also allow replication between all sites (so if I add an entry to one box it will work with the rest)? TIA. Understanding VDO vs ZFS
sorry corrections: For this test I created a 40GB lvm volume group with /dev/sdb and /dev/sdc then a 40GB LV then a 60GB VDO vol (for testing purposes) vdostats --verbose /dev/mapper/vdoas | grep -B6 'saving percent' output from just created vdoas [root at localhost ~]# vdostats --verbose /dev/mapper/vdoas | grep -B6 'saving percent' physical blocks : 10483712

Understanding VDO vs ZFS
Folks I'm looking for a solution for backups because ZFS has failed on me too many times. In my environment, I have a large amount of data (around 2tb) that I periodically back up. I keep the last 5 "snapshots". I use rsync so that when I overwrite the oldest backup, most of the data is already there and the backup completes quickly, because only a small number of files have

umount oops
Hi, I tried very promising btrfs to test it a little and I experienced a little bug in implementation. I''m not sure where the bug lies however this works quite well to reproduce the problem: dd if=/dev/zero of=mountme bs=4k count=100000 dd if=/dev/zero of=mountme2 bs=4k count=100000 mkfs.btrfs mountme mkfs.btrfs mountme2 mkdir loop loop2 mount -o loop mountme loop mount -o loop mountme

VDO killed my server
Folks I was impressed with the description of VDO (Virtual Device Optimizer?) in the RedHat documentaion, so much that I tried to use it. The tutorials led me to a few commands. I built a VDO device on top of two USB disks which I made into a Logical Volume, and I was ready to go. In my test case, I had a file set of about 600 GB. There was 5 TB of space between the two disk LVMs. So, I

Confidence intervals around the MIC (Maximal information coefficient)
Dear R-Experts, Here below is my R code (reproducible example) to calculate the confidence intervals around the spearman coefficient. ########## C=c(2,4,5,6,3,4,5,7,8,7,6,5,6,7,7,8,5,4,3,2) D=c(3,5,4,6,7,2,3,1,2,4,5,4,6,4,5,4,3,2,8,9) cor(C,D,method= "spearman") library(boot) myCor=function(data,index){ cor(data[index, ])[1,2] } results=boot(data=cbind(C,D),statistic=myCor, R=2000)

Confidence intervals around the MIC (Maximal information coefficient)
Hi Rui, Many thanks. The R code works BUT the results I get are quite weird I guess ! MIC = 0.2650 Normal 95% CI = (0.9614, 1.0398) The MIC is not inside the confidence intervals ! Is there something wrong in the R code ? Here is the reproducible example : ########## C=c(2,4,5,6,3,4,5,7,8,7,6,5,6,7,7,8,5,4,3,2) D=c(3,5,4,6,7,2,3,1,2,4,5,4,6,4,5,4,3,2,8,9) library(minerva) mine(C,D)$MIC

Assertion failure in journal_bmap() at journal.c:636: "ret != 0"
A scsi error (caused possibly by a loose cable) has left the processes accessing my ext3 file system hung in an unkillable state after it triggered an assert in ext3's journaling layer. I assume my only recourse at this point is to reboot. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Log messages appended. Thanks, -Jim Nov 21 04:04:04 attila kernel: SCSI disk error : host 0 channel 0 id 5 lun 0

Confidence intervals around the MIC (Maximal information coefficient)
Hello, First of all, when I tried to use function mic I got an error. mic(cbind(C, D)) Error in mic(cbind(C, D)) : could not find function "mic" So I've changed your function myCor and all went well, with a warning relative to BCa intervals. myCor <- function(data, index){ mine(data[index, ])$MIC } results=boot(data = cbind(C,D), statistic = myCor, R = 2000)

Selective canreinvite in multi-tenant environment
Hello, all. In our multi-tenant environment, we would like to be able to use the reinvite media redirection within Asterisk for calls within a tenant but not between tenants. We would like inter-tenant calls to be fully proxied by the Asterisk server. I think the answer is, "we can't," but I thought I'd ask anyway. I'd dearly like to remove the substantial traffic
