unable to remove ACLs
hi guys I have a simple case of: $ setfacl -b not working! I copy a folder outside of autofs mounted gluster vol, to a regular fs and removing acl works as expected. Inside mounted gluster vol I seem to be able to modify/remove ACLs for users, groups and masks but that one simple, important thing does not work. It is also not the case of default ACLs being enforced from the parent, for I

Gluster + NFS-Ganesha Failover
Hello All, I am trying to setup a three way replicated Gluster Storage which is exported by NFS Ganesha. This 3 node Ganesha cluster is managed by pacemaker and corosync. I want to use this cluster as a backend for several different web-based applications as well as storage for mailboxes. The cluster is working well but after triggering the failover by stopping the ganesha service on one node,

Problems with gluster and autofs
There appears to be a race condition or a cycle with autofs and gluster 3.0.4. When gluster tries to stat the mount point in fuse-bridge.c, it hangs. When I comment out the code in lines: 3389-3415 it hangs on the call to mount() in fuse-lib/mount.c:538. This is true whether or not --ghost is specified. Has this problem been resolved? Is there a patch somewhere? --- gdb output after

question about gluster 3.0.4 and gluster-fuse (latest) on 2 centos 5.4 servers
Hello, I am running 2 servers with CentoS 5.4 32 bit with 1 GB memory and 2 Xeon 3,4 Ghz cpu's. Both are server and client. Gluster 3.0.4 source is used and the latest fuse from glusterfs. I put the Qmail maildir on the gluster mount. I notices that IMAP connections are really slow and see a lot of gluster load whenever I receive a mail or send an email. This is my glusterfsd.vol on both

VFS plug-in for Gluster breaks case sensitivity.
Hello, I first posted this question to the IRC but it was suggested I also post here for better visibility. I am currently having a bit of trouble with Gluster, Samba, and the VFS plug-in between them. I am also posting this to the Gluster mailing list. The behavior I am seeing is that by using the samba-vfs-gluster plug-in the case sensitivity setting for Samba breaks in a subtle but noticeable

gluster over infiniband....
Hey guys, I am running gluster over infiniband, and I have a couple of questions. We have four servers, each with 1 disk that I am trying to access over infiniband using gluster. The servers look like they start okay, here are the last 10 or so lines of a client log (they are all identical): 2008-10-07 07:18:40 D [spec.y:196:section_sub] parser: child:stripe0->remote1 2008-10-07 07:18:40 D

Fwd: Re: [Gluster-Maintainers] [gluster-packaging] glusterfs-4.0.0 released
Forwarding to the devel and users groups as well. We have tagged 4.0.0 branch as GA, and are in the process of building packages. It would a good time to run final install/upgrade tests if you get a chance on these packages (I am running off to do the same now). Thanks, Shyam -------- Forwarded Message -------- Subject: Re: [Gluster-Maintainers] [gluster-packaging] glusterfs-4.0.0 released
