Missing something else - pidgin-sipe
I installed pidgin-sipe, since my googling seemed to suggest it would give me connectivity with Lync. I now see the SIMPLE protocol... but not Office Communicator. What am I missing here? CentOS 7, updated. mark

Latest Pidgin update problem
A while back I added the pidgin repo to my yum configuration and installed pidgin. it has automatically updated itself a time or two since without trouble. but now that Pidgin 2.1.0 is out, it won't update properly. Yum finds a couple of libpurple packages to update as well as pidgin-devel, but not the pidgin package itself: --> Populating transaction set with selected packages. Please

Pidgin problem on 5.2
Having a problem with Pidgin that may have come after the 5.2 upgrade. I don't use pidgin daily, but the last time I used it (a week or two ago) it was fine. Now, when clicking the icon nothing visible happens. When I open an xterm and run it from there I get this: $ pidgin libnm_glib_nm_state_cb: dbus returned an error. Pidgin + pidgin-sipe audo/video calls to Skype for Business
Has anyone got the audio/video call functionality to work with the CentOS 7 Pidgin packages? I primarily interested in Skype for Business/Office Communicator, but if you have anything else set up that supports audio/video, that may also be of interest. I recently tried to join a "scheduled conference", and got a (working) chat window, but didn't get any sound, and nobody else

Balsa problem
Wondering if anyone here has built Balsa for Centos-7. I've used it on Centos 5 and 6 for years, though I had to compile it myself. It compiles cleanly on c7, but when run I keep getting error messages that say "Failure to sync mailbox xxxx" that seem to happen when I try to view a mailbox that has new/unread mail, or perhaps it happens when a mailbox receives new mail whilei Balsa

OTR plugin for Pidgin?
Looking for the OTR plugin for Pidgin. We can get libotr from rpmforge, but I can't find the actual OTR plugin anywhere. Can't compile it on centos 5.2 because it wants a bunch of newer libraries than we have (GTK+ and others). Flash streams sound distorted
Hi gang! I'm hoping for some advice here,... I've been having this problem for a while and have come to the point where I need someone else's guidance/suggestions/help... I'm running a Cenotos-4 system. It was originally a TAO Linux-1 system, that was upgraded to Tao-4, and subsequently switched (via yum, using the procedure created by the Tao maintainer with--I

Many troubles in CentOS 6 since the last update of GLibc-2.12-1.149.el6
Hi all, I would like to know if these troubles affect also other people, for example, I can no longer connect to Sipe (Lync) network by Pidgin since the Glibc has been updated and now I've just discovered that it was no longer possible to take screenshots with gnome-screenshot, I always receive an error message telling: "Unable to save the screenshot to disk: Value for PNG text
