Anyone have an rpm built for Javahelp2?
Yes, I can get it done with some effort. I understand the non-free aspect of jpackage.org the rpm is created with user/group jpp, so I guess that I have to include: --prefix /home/me/rpm ?

internal-sftp and logging not working with Fedora and chroot using 5.5?
Hope ya'all can help! Been reading and reading, and adjusting... to no avail. We need to have chroot'd SFTP activities logged on a file server and for whatever reason, I simply cannot get it to log with users that are chroot'd (this is necessary for auditing and HIPAA - so it is pretty important) I have tried with Fedora 11/12 and even an older Fedora 8 server, the same results: 1.

101th domU fails to start with "SETVCPUCONTEXT failed"
Hello there, We (a small hosting community) are running a steadily growing number of Xen domUs on a quad dualcore Xeon server with 64GB ram. We''ve got 100 running domUs at the moment. Trying to create a new one results in this error: Error: (1, ''Internal error'', ''launch_vm: SETVCPUCONTEXT failed (rc=-1)\n'') If I shut down another domain, I can

java-1.4.2-gcj-compat.i386 update failure
Hmmm, I seemed to have created a misalignmnet somewhere along the line. I can't remember doing anything to this. But at one time I did try to test the java open source. Posted my results to the list, got no response, abandoned all hope and went on my merry way. I don't know if this is related. I have installed an rpm for a java needed by an application I run. It was from the official

OpenSSH: multiple vulnerabilities in the new PAM code
This affects only 3.7p1 and 3.7.1p1. The advice to leave PAM disabled is far from heartening, nor is the semi-lame blaming the PAM spec for implementation bugs. I happen to like OPIE for remote access. Subject: Portable OpenSSH Security Advisory: sshpam.adv This document can be found at: http://www.openssh.com/txt/sshpam.adv 1. iSCSI and LVM
Hi Everyone, I am going to get a storage server which will be connected to my Xen hosts via iSCSI/Ethernet. I wish to use LVM for the DomU disks. The storage server will have a RAID10 array, and 2 Xen hosts will connect to this (Each will have a 50% share of the RAID10 array, space wise). What is the best way to go about this? Should I: a) Split the RAID10 array into 2 partition on the

Generating random numbers satisfying specific regression equation
Hello everybody Sorry if such a question has already been posted somewhere, but I wasn’t able to find an answer yet. I’m trying to generate random numbers for illustration purposes. The random numbers should satisfy a multiple regression equation, for example: z = 0.3 + 0.05 * x + 1.5 * y + 3 * xy I was playing around with mvrnorm (MASS), but since I’m still a newbie to R and not an educated

subset by multiple columns satisfying the same condition
Hi All, I have a very simple question. Suppose I had a data frame with 100 columns, now I wanted to select rows with the values of some columns satisfying the same condition, like all equal to "Tom". I know I can use the 'and' operator "&", but it's painful if there were many columns. Can anyone give me some advice? Thanks in advance, FD [[alternative HTML

Deleting rows satisfying a certain condition (sum of some colums>2)
I have a huge matrix and need to delete certain rows. What I need to do is: 1.In each row, calculate the sum of jth column and (J+2)th column 2. If the sum is greater than 2 then that row needs to be deleted. I have a sample matrix and my codes here. It does remove some rows but when it does, it skips the next row and each time it deletes a row, the dimension changes so it gets out of bound. I

Completely in despair - Xen and Windows domU

[Bridge] Building 1.1 ?
Good day Folks! Working on a bridging firewall/gateway and attempting to solve the age-old mystery of whether I can get NAT to work across a gateway that has 2 NICs and requires a bridge... Upside is, I have the gateway working, bridging works (as does OpenVPN using that bridge). But NAT does not in Fedora Core 4... >From dmesg: Linux version 2.6.11-1.1369_FC4 So I went to the website and

Java headaches
I lost my harddrive, and have had to reinstall. This time, I am being a bit smarter on imaging, but still got to get things installed... Installing Freemind. It needs Java JRE. So after lots of pain, and reading past messages, I got jre-1_5_0_09-linux-i586.rpm from sun and installed it. Then I tried to follow Jim Perrin's recommendation to install from jpackage.org the
