Help with a bug
Dear friends I filed a bug https://issues.asterisk.org/jira/browse/ASTERISK-23656 but I am wondering if somebody can figure a workaround. I am stuck trying to deliver an application. The case is this: A Record is executed and an immediate Playback follows. Asterisk returns an error, saying that the file does not exist, but a few seconds later, it does. It does not help if after the Record

Capture Media IP in CDR
I am not proxying the media, but never the less I am forced to store the source media IP in my CDR, for regulatory reasons. Asterisk gets that information when the reinvite comes, but how do I store it? If I don't figure this out my next email will be from Federal Prison. Kindly help me stay away from those guys. Eventually we all need to save that information or we shall not be able to stay

How to interpret the name of an object literally?
Hi, I can't seem to figure out how to tell R to stop expanding an object. I would like to use the literal name rather than the expanded value. The issue occurs in a function I've been writing. The problematic part looks like this: # "fund" is a matrix of open, high, low, close, and volume prices returns <- function(fund) { p_12ago = as.vector(fund[nrow(fund)-252,6])

CDR and Transfer, an asterisk scaring bug lasting from 1.4 version...
When you use a product which version number is 11 or even 12, you might go with the assumption all big bugs are fixed and then you find there is a huge, important, expensive bug still running in the code we are relaying upon... The problem is simple. If you transfer a call, that dialing will be not reported in the CDR, so no billing will happen. This is a simple example: Extension 100 calls

Help in getting a dialplan to produce the right CDR info
I have been shaking down a dialplan for SIP fax to efax. The basic senario is an ATA on the same subnet as the Asterisk 1.2 box (avoid RTP packet lose and thus fax crash), calling a 'fax extension' and envoking rxfax then email. I leverage off of context: from-internal-additional-custom, so as not to have it overwritten by FreePBX. In extension_custom.conf I have:

Sipura-3000 Assistant for Asterisk on MacOSX? Well, maybe, with your help!
Hi We are getting more and more email from Mac users asking how they can connect their MacOSX based Asterisk server to a PSTN phone line. This has led to two ideas ... 1) Mid term: set up a donation fund to sponsor the development of Zaptel drivers for MacOSX Note: if everyone who downloaded the Asterisk installation package for MacOSX during the last two months since its release would donate

Capture Media IP in CDR (CDR)
I am quite surprised about the degree of surprise in the group. A few days ago, somebody called a school and issued a threat, through my network. The call came from China, but of course it was US caller. The DA wants to know where call came from. The caller ID is "Restricted" and the chinese carrier is playing games. If I had a way to store the media IP, I would be able to pinpoint the

CDR Bug?
Trying to figure out if a bug report should be submitted. Can anyone on 1.2.x verify of this has been corrected? I am on CVS 8/2005 If a call comes in to an extension that dials more than one channel (rings at more than one phone) both calls in the CDR show a status of answered when only one is answered, the source channel is bridged to only one of the two destination channels, but both CDRs

Hello all, I'm trying to activate (on Asterisk 1.6.0.13) the cdr_mysql addon, but without success. Is there a proper online manual that describes all the steps to follow and debugging/monitoring information? When I type in the CLI "module show", cdr_addon_mysql.so is not listed, although in modules.conf, I added the line "load => cdr_addon_mysql.so". I also tried

Bug CDR report - dst "s" ?
Hello everybody, I have a question about value dst of cdr table in asteriskcdrdb, so in my db I see many registers with letter "s" in dst field, I found a opinion that "s" is the default extension and the all calls enter the system as "s" and are then changed as they pass through the dial plan, so, if you have an IVR and they hang up during the IVR, the call will be
