ACL configuration migration from Dovecot 2.1.17 to 2.2.13
Hello, I'm preparing migration to the latest Dovecot version 2.2.13 from the previous stable branch 2.1.17 which is deployed on my servers. With version 2.1.17 I use global acl dir to prevent all mail users to delete their INBOX.Junk Mail folder, which is part from our spam protection system. My current config is: cat /etc/dovecot/acls/INBOX.Junk\ Mail owner lrwstiae With version

not sure how to read the log
Hello, I use rsync for backing up a FreeBSD server onto Windows XP. The options are - rsync -crRPzt --stats --delete-after --backup The rest is standard. Most of the things run pretty smooth, except when it starts to go through the vpopmail domains. Then I get something like this - rename "LOCAL_PATH_TO_E_MAIL_MESSAGE HERE" -> "REMOTH_PATH_TO_E_MAIL_MESSAGE_HERE":

After upgrade from 2.1 to 2.2.13 clients can create folders with names containing slash character on a Linux system
We have following issue: After upgrade from 2.1 to 2.2.13 clients can create folders with names containing slash character. This was not possible with our previous version 2.1. Tested. Our Dovecot runs on Debian Wheezy system. According http://wiki2.dovecot.org/Plugins/Listescape this should be disabled on a Posix system. We use the usual separator '.' as you can see in the config

Accessing an object from the function in its .Data slot?
I have an S4 object extending "function". Is it there a good way to access the object (resp. its slots) from within the function in .Data? If I'm reading help files correctly, it is not possible to overload '(' (which would be the most elegant solution, I suppose). I can enclose the slotted data in the function when it is created, but that obviously doesn't work when

can you suggest on extending ogg as short-clip container and the make of its tool?
Hello. I am thinking of developing a tool for computer game makers, enabling them using an ogg file to hold a collection of very short context audio clips. I am looking for suggestion on usefulness of the tool once it is made, and its design. By "very short context audio" I mean the audio clips that usually is the response to a mouse-click or key press. e.g. a clicking sound, a

Is there any way to mask or hide the INBOX label for Dovecot 1.2.x Shared Mailboxes?
Hello, I'm setting up a new Dovecot sever to replace an old Cyrus server, and need to keep things as consistent as possible. I have a couple local accounts, like junkmail and notjunkmail that users get shared access to, and can drop things in to train sa-update. However, when users share over junkmail's inbox, it's displayed in the hierarchy: ? Other Users ? junkmail ? INBOX
