[PATCH] xen-unstable: Add bzip2 and lzma/xz libs to stubdom for pvgrub
Hello, The attached patch adds bzip2 and lzma/xz libs to stubdom for pvgrub. This is the first step of getting the additional compression methods supported in pvgrub. There''s still some Makefile voodoo to sort out before pvgrub actually properly gets linked against these new libs. This patch only adds the libs and makes them build. -- Pasi

Max OSX 3.3.0 and lzma
I have lzma installed (in /usr/local) but R-3.3.0 configure doesn't like something about it: checking for lzma_version_number in -llzma... yes checking lzma.h usability... no checking lzma.h presence... no checking for lzma.h... no configure: error: "liblzma library and headers are required" bash-3.2$ ls /usr/local/lib/*lzma* ls /usr/local/lib/*lzma* /usr/local/lib/liblzma.5.dylib

Hello, many linux SW is starting to implement new lzma compresson instrad of old zlib (gzip) od bzip2. lzma is default comrpession in very good compression SW 7-zip, which is faster and have higher compression ratio then bzip2 or rar. Currently its probalby the best compressor in therms of compression and decompression speed / compression ratio. In linux there is GNU lzma SW which implements

lzma and bzip compressed kernels, initrds and images
hpa, will there be support for lzma and bzip compressed kernels, initrds and images in one of the following releases of syslinux? I saw that you want lzma and bzip2 compression included in the kernel: http://groups.google.com/group/linux.kernel/browse_thread/thread/f415aa765c09c9f7/dae008992e14840f?lnk=raot&pli=1 Gert Hulselmans

Compiling R-devel - missing some expected features (zlib, bzlib, lzma, PCRE)
Hi All, I am compiling R-devel on Linux (Ubuntu 16.04.2) and that works just fine, but I am missing some of the expected features, as shown here: https://cran.r-project.org/doc/manuals/r-devel/R-admin.html#Linux In particular, after configure (using all defaults), I see: R is now configured for x86_64-pc-linux-gnu [...] Interfaces supported: X11 External libraries:

I have just applied this to staging-4.1. Since my own backport and Bastian''s were entirely identical, I haven''t tested it other than to compile it... [PATCH v2 0/3 supermin] URPMI & xz support.
Joseph, Please try my modified versions of these patches. These are compile-tested on Fedora and they don't break any existing functionality, but I don't have either urpmi nor a statically-linked xz so I cannot fully test them. I have also fixed detection of zlib (2/3). Rich.

Re: [PATCH v2 0/3 supermin] URPMI & xz support.
I had to make some changes to the xz patch. The code that was used for conftest had to be modified and I needed to add lzma to the link line. The urpmi patch worked fine. xz compression
Hello Timo, I've successfully setup xz compression for my Dovecot installation using the version 2.2.12 from Debian unstable. Together with the activation of the "Single Instance Attachment Storage", this reduced the mail storage utilization for 20 mail accounts by 74%. *My question:* (For this test just one user was logged in. OS = Debian Wheezy, AMD64) After conversion of my

[LLVMdev] Converting raw_ostream to std::ostream
Dear All, I am currently writing an analysis pass that uses a third-party library. I want to write a print() method for my pass (which takes one of the LLVM raw_ostream objects) and have it use a method from this third-party library to print out data. However, the third-party library uses std::ostream. Is there a way to create a std::ostream from a raw_ostream? -- John T.

[LLVMdev] Reading IR from a std::ostream
Previously I had asked how to write then read back IR to/from a file. The write code looked like: LLVMContext ctx; SMDiagnostic diag; Module *m = ParseIRFile( "my_file", diag, ctx ); However, the code I'm trying to retrofit LLVM IR into passes me just a std::ostream&. How can I read IR from a std::ostream? I figured out how to use raw_os_ostream to adapt a
