What about the update announcements for Centos5? There was nothing posted to centos-announce yet for the updates that have been released so far for Centos5. Also, the centos-announce mailing list options page does not know about Centos5 yet. Best regards, Bernd.

Hi All, I installed clam on CentOS 5 as below. yum install clamav clamav-db clamd I got them form Dag. below are the RPMS I installed. [root at box ~]# rpm -qa |grep clam clamav-db-0.90.2-1.el4.rf clamd-0.90.2-1.el4.rf clamav-0.90.2-1.el4.rf But, when I restart clam it gives following error. centos minimal install???
I was doing an Internet facing server reload for a client today and he mentioned that there is a minimal install selection somewhere and that I should take a disk 1 of centos 4.4 and it would be under custom Is this the case? How? I couldn't find it, nor could he after the fact. If it exists, where is it, or how do I get to it for future reference please? I usually use a centos server cd

mdadm and smtp yum update issue

To redirect any message into /dev/null
Hi all, I'm running a script in my crontab like this: */50 * * * * /root/scripts/keepjobrun 2>&1 > /dev/null However, crontab always sends a message to root (me) about the above script. If I do a minimal centos 5 install Then if I do a yum -y update then if I do a yum groupinstall "Development Tools" "Development Libraries" (is that syntax right, it works)? both are installed yet if I yum grouplist this is all that shows up as installed even though both are installed Installed Groups: Development Libraries System Tools Dialup Networking
