Well, if I will be called on this number I can't hear anything and in Asterisk I see these: [Jul 15 18:59:55] WARNING[8752]: channel.c:5060 ast_write: Codec mismatch on channel SIP/00493514977290-000001d1 setting write format

strange transcoding values
Hello guys, i have a question about a voip gateway we use. I saw those values typing in cli: core show translation g723 gsm ulaw alaw g726aal2 adpcm slin lpc10 g729 speex ilbc g726 g722 slin16 g723 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - gsm - - 2001 2001 6000 2001 2000 16000 - 34002 - 6000

Codec preference
How can I set the prefered codec between 2 calling parties ?? My Grandstream supports G729, alaw and gsm... in this order. The Zoiper softphone has alaw and gsm as codecs... in that order. Although there should be a matching codec found, my Grandstream can not call the Zoiper softphone. CLI shows : [Mar 11 17:47:21] WARNING[22367]: channel.c:3340 ast_channel_make_compatible: No path to

CDR dst value null after attended transfer
I'm having an issue with CDR. Basically, I expect to have all "legs" of a call having the same linkedid and differing only by the sequence value. That does happen, but I'm getting null dst values after doing an attended transfer. I'm not sure if this is a bug or I'm doing something wrong. I'm running Asterisk 13.2.0. Here's the console log, step by step: First,

asterisk 13.18.0: pjsip: unnecessary 603 decline because of wrong codec decision
Hello! I'm facing the following scenario: - Initial call opened to asterisk: SDP g722,alaw,ulaw - Outgoing call to provider started with Invite / SDP alaw, g726 and g729. - Provider sends 183 Session progress SDP: g729, alaw - Provider sends g729 rtp packages But: there is no license to transcode g729. What is asterisk doing? Asterisk decides to stop the call at all: - Sends cancel

I can do alaw, ulaw and gsm; remote can do g729 and alaw; asterisk wants to translate g729 -> alaw. WHY?
I am having a problem with one of my callers who is using either g729 or alaw.  I can do alaw but not g729 so asterisk should negotiate alaw right?  In fact from the sip debug it looks like it does, but then I get the dreaded "channel.c:5630 set_format: Unable to find a codec translation path: (g729) -> (alaw)" and the call hangs up.  Why? Last minute thought: Is it possible that

strange warning
Hi all, I am using an asterisk as a client to connect to another asterisk server by registering with the register string. Registration is done without any hassel, but after sometime my asterisk loses the registration with the server and the server starts displaying the following msgs repeatedly: [Aug 9 06:37:59] NOTICE[8380]: chan_sip.c:8151 check_auth: Correct auth, but based on stale nonce

Codec Negotiation Does not seem to work as expected ?? Help Please !!
Hello, I have been trying to get my coders to work without a conversion. I have read all the available asterisk documentation and support groups without any luck. Here is my issue. (Please feel free to ask questions if you do not understand what I am talking about.) I am using Cisco ATA-186 set to g729 codec. (But it will switch to g711 if sip-server request g711) I have 2 SIP-services to

Codec negotiation for Thomson ST2030 and g729
Hi all, i'm trouble with codec setup on an asterisk machine 1.4.18 and some Thomson ST2030 as extensions. In the users.conf file for internal extension i have: disallow=all allow=g729 allow=alaw allow=ulaw Without any codec installed (i mean with original g729 of asterisk) all go fine, calling from an extension to one other: Peer User/ANR Call ID Seq (Tx/Rx) Format

SIP codec preference order ineffective

CLI file convert from alaw to g729 with TC400B transcoding card results to an empty file
Good afternoon, I'm trying to use the CLI command file convert on an Asterisk 1.4.26 server with a TC400B transcoding card. The transcoding card is working well for calls but I have some trouble converting sound files from alaw to g729. The command creates empty file as you can see below... codec preferences
hi Username : 1000012 Codecs : 0x11a (gsm|alaw|g726|g729) Codec Order : (gsm|g729|g726|alaw|ulaw) the above is from SIP SHOW PEER 1000012, and as it clearly shows, g.729 is preferred before alaw. If I dial this SIP - * - SIP from a phone with G.729 enabled, it uses G.729. However, if I dial from my cell phone - GSM - PSTN - * - SIP, the call uses ALAW, which I thought it

Codec order sent wrong from Asterisk
I'm communicating a softphone (SJPhone) to a Grandstream phone GXP-2000. The codec order on each one is the next: SJPhone: GSM - iLBC - PCMA - PCMU GXP2000: G729 - GSM - PCMA - PCMU (I have a G729 license, so there's no problem with transcoding G729) In my sip.conf, I've defined the following codec order: disallow=all allow=g729 allow=gsm allow=g726 allow=alaw allow=ulaw And my

simple question on sip.conf
Hi folks, I want to fix hole in my asterisk set up. I use Vocal as my sip proxy and * for voice mail and the g/w to PSTN, Iconnect, fwd etc. So from Vocal I redirect sip requests which needs to go 'other' places. This senario works fine. Now the issue is someone else running a vocal or another SIP proxy can redirect his calls to my * as well. Those calls two will come through general

My G729 problem re-visited
Ok, I built a test system to duplicate my problem and provide myself a platform that I can mess around with to try and break any features. My problem is G729 pass-through from a gateway to a phone. I think I even have transcoding working, which makes me more confused on what's wrong with my pass-through. It must be a configuration issue. The basics... *CLI> core show version Asterisk
