Dovecot cannot unlink non-empty directory
Hi, Currently I use dovecot 1.1.3 on Debian Testing. CPU arch is x86. Mail is stored on ext3 fs. I'm having a following problem with deleting folders (there is no problem with creation of folders): Error: IMAP(test at laptop.aonet.pl): unlink_directory(/home/vpopmail/domains/laptop.aonet.pl/test/.//Maildir/..DOVECOT-TRASHED) failed: Permission denied HOW TO REPRODUCE 1. Cannot remove Maildir folder
Hi, I have been using dovecot 1.0 beta 8 on Debian Sarge for a couple of days and I experienced some problems when removing folders.. As an IMAP client I use Thunderbird 1.5 and IMAP folders are on NFS. Here are the steps to re-produce the problem: 1. Run Thunderbird as usual 2. Create folder 3. Remove folder - In my case folder is not removed but moved to Trash (Thunderbird setting) 4. I go to

windows live mail + dovecot and nfs
Hi all. My clients have got problem accessing dovecot by "Windows live mail (Windows 7)" client. The problem is that users can't delete two or more folders one-by-one. There is no errors deleting first folder (new dir /storage/vol1/mail/domain/user/Maildir/..DOVECOT-TRASHED appeared and wasn't deleted). If I try to delete second one, error occurs (user, domain, IP address

Handling of X-Status flags
Hi all, I've done a bit of searching and haven't seen anybody else coming across this problem yet: I noticed that Dovecot uses the opposite flags for marking messages as deleted and draft to most other MUAs I've seen or used: With PINE, mutt and uw-imapd at least, messages are marked with X-Status 'D' for Deleted, and 'T' for drafT. Dovecot reverses this behaviour,

Corrupted index cache file and high CPU usage
I suspect, that dovecot v2.0.16 under Linux (tested on Gentoo 3.0.4 Hardened, Gentoo 3.0.6, Gentoo 3.1.4) causes 100% cpu utilization when index.cache is broken and doveadm is lanched. Dovecot uses LDAP as the userdb and provides IMAP and LDA. Because each user has a quota, the doveadm's expunge functionality is used to get rid of old trashed mail. The mail log: Dec 12 07:38:59 www dovecot:

win98 trashed & !$!$ files
Wine (20000213-1) has apparently trashed my win98. Many files seemed to have been moved to directories named !$!$!$!$.*. Windows starts, but almost nothing works since programs have been moved to these to these directories. Any help in fixing the situation will be greatly appreciated. This is on RedHat 6.2 (2.2.14). winecheck gives This script verifies the configuration of the whole Wine

deleting variables
How can I automatically exclude one variable from being saved in the workspace when I quit an R session? The problem is I don't know how to erase a variable once it has been created. Background: I open a connection called "con" to a database server in my ~/.Rprofile. Obviously, the connection expires when quitting the R session. Unfortunately, the workspace is loaded after

perl-cpan
Dear list, I was installing Asterisk via the AMP method off the AMP website. There is a portion in there where they want you to use perl-cpan to install telnet. The first time I installed I had no problem. I messed up and trashed the box further down in the install.. This time I made a mistake and put a -jp3 switch for multi processors. This has caused the install of telnet tank. I found

Large dial plans and variables
I have a large dial plan here with over 3000 lines, and several dozen macros. As it grew, it became apparent that there was some problems. 1. When you pass arguments to a macro in the form of $ARG1, $ARG2 etc, if that macro calls another macro, and passes arguments like this as well, you lose the original values. 2. When the macro's 'return' some value, it has to set a channel

case (non-)sensitivity for folder names
Is IMAP supposed to be case sensitive or case in-sensitive? It seemed it would be case sensitive because I've had different cases of folders. But today I found I had two folders "Spam" and "spam", with directories ".INBOX.Spam" and ".INBOX.spam" on the server. Messages existed in each directory on the server and they were different. The messages

Getting back to it last week I had to set up my R environment due to hardware changes again. The Peaks package loads with no problem. After successfully reinstalling all packages (RedHat
