Contribute: Center extension to Prototype''s Position object
If anyone is intrested, i was hardly missing such a feature in prototype

Element.getDimensions
Hi all,
should it be considered a bug that Element.getDimensions returns the
offsetWidth and offsetHeight properties from elemens having not
display none, but clientWidth and clientHeight from elements with
display none?
Or is it a feature?

Drag & Scroll
When using drag and drop, the browser window will not scroll if you move the mouse off the page. This makes it very difficult, if not impossible to create certain types of web applications.
I know this has been mentioned before and is on the Wish List, but it''s very frustrating.

Upgrade server to run on Rails 2.3.2/F11
Note that one of the 8 patches (#6) will be sent separately in reply
to this email, as some of the replaced lines are too long, so git
won't let me send the email. However, there is nothing wrong with
that patch, and it should be applied in the sequence listed below.
Note also that I assume this will be tested on a clean f11 install, rather
than an upgrade of an existing ovirt server

scriptaculous & sortables/draggables scrolling?
Re,
Would anyone happen to know how to make sortable/draggable scroll down
the page while moving the object if the page happens to be larger than
the screen size? These functions seem to work only within the visible
working space.
Right now I have workaround whereby I have an omnipresent DIV on the
screen to which I drop an element, then scroll down in the browser to
a certain point, and then

Is Element in Viewing Range
How could I tell if an element is visible? Not visible as in the css display
property, but visible in the browser''s clipping area. So if I had a long
list of columns and wanted to know if the user has to scroll horizontally to
see the last one.

good javascript xml parser
Anyone know of a javascript function that will take an xml document and
turn it into an associative array?
Basically it would take something like this:

XML Question
I''ve got an XML file which is pretty well structured. I need to retrieve
specific elements from that file to fill out empty HTML elements on a page.
I think what I need is xPath? Or - is that overkill? Is there some easier
way to locate an XML element?
What I have in mind is pulling the XML file using Ajax, then xPath to get
the bits I need.

Move element into view
Hello,
I am in fly-by mode as I am still more than busy, so I just dumb this
one out for anyone interested. Adapt it for your needs if you like it.
This effect is similar to ScrollTo, but scrolls the viewport
vertically the minimal amount necessary to bring the element into
view.

Problems with Element.extend() on responseXML elements with IE
I have the following code in the "onSuccess" function of an
Ajax.Request() call. The content type of the response message is "text/
xml".
function interactionSuccess(request) {

Positioning Oddities
I''m having some trouble using Element#cumulativeOffset and
Element#cumulativeScrollOffset to absolutely position an element right
under a link in certain browsers.
I made a couple of tests to illustrate the issue, which can be found

[PATCH server] Update app to work with rails 2.3.2

Autocompletion not working in Konqueror
I''ve just had a look again at the autocompletion demo that Thomas put up

Unfortunately, in Konqueror (3.4.1) it doesn''t work at all. Not even an

image transfer incompletely in live migration
Hi all,
I am using libvirt version 0.10.1 and qemu-kvm version 1.2.0 with RHEL 6.3
When I use libvirt API to make block migrate with a VM, it failed
frequently. I check the migrated VM and found that the filesystem damaged.
But sometimes it works very fine, I don't know why, it seems to be random.
All failed tests have the same condition, image transfer incompletely in
live migration. The

Updated the xml code to be more object-oriented
I changed the code to be more prototype-esque, and created a class
called XMLDoc. I may add more functionality to it later, hence the more
