RE: scriptaculous appear effect and tiny_mce bug onopera 9
I seem to recall the Effect.Appear setting the final opacity to 0.99 to avoid some bug on some browser; anyone remember the specifics? Seems like we should probably just conditionally check for the broken browser and set to 0.99 for only that one, otherwise leave it at 1.0, but I know I don''t have the full picture of why it was necessary or whether it still is. [PATCH server] Update app to work with rails 2.3.2
Note that this does not fix gettext for app, that will be done separately in another patch as F10/F11 require different setups for that. In the meantime gettext works if manually changed in environment.rb to gettext_rails instead of gettext/rails Signed-off-by: Jason Guiditta <jason.guiditt at gmail.com> --- src/app/controllers/application.rb | 200 --------

Element.show - element.style.display=''''
All Head up. I found that when I had a hidden DIV (using css - display: none) which I wanted to Effect.Appear on some event (although the underlying problem seems to be with Element.show()), I had to make an amendment to the underlying prototype.js code by changing : element.style.display = '''' -> element.style.display = ''block''; I think the problem was

Upgrade server to run on Rails 2.3.2/F11
Note that one of the 8 patches (#6) will be sent separately in reply to this email, as some of the replaced lines are too long, so git won't let me send the email. However, there is nothing wrong with that patch, and it should be applied in the sequence listed below. Note also that I assume this will be tested on a clean f11 install, rather than an upgrade of an existing ovirt server

Executing custom effect for n seconds
Glad to see this list get going! I have a custom effect ''Pulse'' that basically does an opacity fade in/ out. I want to execute this effect with a custom duration. I''m looking for a consistent approach that is inline with script.alicio.us and Prototype. Is there a way to do something like this (pseudo code): Effect2.Pulse = function(element) { new

Effect.Puff Problem - first frame is wrong size
I''m trying to get to the bottom of this one. Not much for Javascript debugging, but found the Venkman tool and have been stepping through the code trying to see where things go wrong. Looks like it just might be a conflict with the style but lets give some background. I''m doing a ''Effect.Puff(''my_div'')'' on an onclick, and

I have a question: How do you style the various components of the anchor tag? I am doing it this way: $$(''a:link,a:visited'').each(function(link){ //links link.setStyle({ color: ''#''+$F(''cp4_Hex'') }); }); $$(''a:hover'').each(function(link){ //links link.setStyle({ color: ''#''+$F(''cp5_Hex'')

Firefox Redraw Time
While not directly related to prototype/s.a.u. I thought this would be the best place to pose this question. I apologize, if it''s off topic. I''m working on an interface where I have a bunch of list items floated to the left in a horizontal fashion. The list is inside a absolutely positioned div, with an overflow set to hidden. At one point in my script I have to remove the

This is going to be tough to describe, so bear with me. I am using the latest scriptaculous and prototype 1.5.rc0 This error only happens in IE, FireFox handles everything just fine. The error I get is: "Error: Object doesn''t support this property" Code Section that it breaks on (actual lines has comment at the end): Effect.Opacity = Class.create();

Analog Bridged Calls Pulsate
Hello, I've been playing around with two generic X100P analog cards to create a proof-of-concept system before we go ahead and hook up a PRI. I'm running into a reproducible problem with sound quality of bridged calls, and am hoping someone will be able to point me in the right direction. I have in my dial plan a _9. extension so outgoing calls can be made... the first thing is
