[PATCH, v2] x86-64: reduce symbol table size
With all of Xen''s symbols sitting within a 2Gb range on x86-64, they
can be referred to by the kallsyms-like offset table using 4- instead
of 8-byte slots.
The marker table can use 4-byte slots in all cases, just like the table
entry counts can (though that''s only a minor improvement).
If ia64''s PERCPU_ADDR got moved down to (KERNEL_START + 2Gb -
PERCPU_PAGE_SIZE), it

[PATCH][VTD] pci mmcfg patch for x86-64 - version 2
Fixes made in version 2:
1) Use PML4[257] for ioremap of PCI mmcfg. As full 16-bit segment support would require 44-bits. Since each slot only has 39-bits, we support 2048 PCI segments for now. This can be easily expanded if deemed necessary in the future.
2) Integrated PCI mmcfg access with existing PCI config interface for x86_64. Use MMCFG interface if offset is greater than 256.

Experimental R_has_slot() utility
Dear list,
The utility "R_has_slot" mentioned in the file NEWS
("Experimental R_has_slot() utility supplementing R_do_slot()")
appears to be missing from a fresh checkout of the development branch.

[RFC PATCH 0/2] GLOBAL() macro for asm code.
Hello,
This series has been split into two patches, one for arm and one for x86. I
figured that this was easier than doing it as a single combined patch,
especially as the changes are functionally independent.
x86 has been boot tested, but arm has not even been compile tested as I lack a
suitable cross compiler. However, the changes are just text replacement, so I
dont expect any issues.

doubt on phys_to_machine_mapping
Hi all,
Can some one tell me where phys_to_machine_mapping is being
initialized for a domU having paging mode set to PG_translate.
I see that, populate_physmap() after calling __alloc_xen_heap_pages only
updates the machine_to_physmap but how is the mfn for the allocated page
being updated/set for phys_to_machine_mapping??
I see that phys_to_machine_mapping is a #defined to RO_MPT_VIRT_START

Rebuild of kernel 2.6.9-67.0.20.EL failure
Hello list.
I'm trying to rebuild the 2.6.9.67.0.20.EL kernel, but it fails even without
modifications.
How did I try it?
Created a (non-root) build environment (not a mock )
Installed the kernel.scr.rpm and did a
rpmbuild -ba --target=`uname -m` kernel-2.6.spec 2> prep-err.log | tee
prep-out.log
The build failed at the end:
