I think most of the market is moving towards AWS Elastic Beanstalk, OpenShift and Docker. It seems control panels are not really much of a thing anymore. Asterisk on the Cloud With a Click - pre-built Asterisk Amazon EC2 instance
Asterisk-users, Our two-part tutorial explaining how to use VoIP and Asterisk in Amazon?s Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) has garnered quite a bit of attention. But due to the time required to complete the many steps needed to get up and running, some of you have asked if it is possible to create a much simpler to install ?pre-built? Asterisk EC2 ?instance.? In short, yes it is. And we?ve

Running Icecast2 behind Amazon Elastic Load Balancer (ELB)
Hello, I'm writing to see if anyone here has had any success running Icecast2 (specifically I am using 2.4) on Amazon EC2 behind an Elastic Load Balancer? I have the ELB configured to do TCP loadbalancing rather than HTTP. I am able to connect and to stream music via the ELB, but when I disconnect, the listener count in Icecast does not decrease. On examining the state of the sockets table

alternative for Amazon SQS for ruby
I need to use ElasticMQ in my rails project. But I dont see any references which have used elasticmq with rails projects. I know that Amazon SQS queuing system can be implemented with the help of right_aws gem(an adapter which is used to connect to Amazon SQS). So I am searching for a similar kind of gem/adapter which will support for both ElasticMQ as well as AmazonSQS. I tried ElasticMQ with

Puppetmaster/Amazon EC2/DNS
Hi, I''m using Amazon EC2 and I''m planning to use puppet to deploy automatically my instances, however, I have an issue I can''t rely think through. As most people advised, I used a DNS server (bind to be precise) so that my instances can register to it but also ask this DNS Server the IP of the puppetmaster. However, as this DNS server is also running on Amazon EC2

Very slow rsync to gluster volume UNLESS `ls` or `find` scan dir on gluster volume first
Hi all, I have seen this issue as well, on Gluster 3.12.1. (3 bricks per box, 2 boxes, distributed-replicate) My testing shows the same thing -- running a find on a directory dramatically increases lstat performance. To add another clue, the performance degrades again after issuing a call to reset the system's cache of dentries and inodes: # sync; echo 2 > /proc/sys/vm/drop_caches I

Running Icecast2 behind Amazon Elastic Load Balancer (ELB)
Hi Thomas, We need a load balancer to allow for a single URL "entry point" to multiple Icecast servers - we intend to host multiple Icecast servers behind the load balancer so that we can expand / contract capacity as required - we would add servers into the load balancer pool. This also allows us to scale beyond the number of listeners a single Icecast server can support, while still
