Phantom nulls in usbdevs.h during 9-STABLE kernel build
We are seeing strange problems building the kernel on 9-STABLE. The
problem is intermittent and will go away if we build enough times in a row
without making any changes.
The problem seems to be that the usbdevs.h file (which appears to be
automatically generated) gets random NULL bytes in it.
This occurs on multiple servers with ECC RAM and ZFS filesystems (sometimes
mounted over NFS from

Hello zfs-discuss,
Is someone actually working on it? Or any other algorithms?
Any dates?

kernel panic caused by zfs/sa.c
Hello,
I'm experiencing a kernel panic that appears to be caused by zfs.
No errors are making it into /var/log/messages, but here is the error
message that appears on my screen after panic (transcribed):
panic solaris assert BSWAP_32(sa_hdr_phys->sa_magic) == SA_MAGIC,
file: /src/sys/modules/zfs/../../cddl/contrib/opensolaris/uts/common/fs/zfs/sa.c, line 1262
I can reproduce this by

zpool destroy causes panic
I'm trying to destroy a zfs array which I recently created. It contains
nothing of value.
# zpool status
pool: storage
state: ONLINE
status: One or more devices could not be used because the label is
missing or
invalid. Sufficient replicas exist for the pool to continue
functioning in a degraded state.
action: Replace the device using 'zpool replace'.

Help with filing a [maybe] ZFS/mmap bug.
Hi All,
I have what I think is a ZFS related bug. Unfortunately my simplest
test case is a bit cumbersome and I haven't definitively proven that
the problem is ZFS related.
I'm hoping for some feedback on how to move forward.
Quick background: I rip my CD's using grip and produce flac files. I
tag the music using Musicbrainz' Picard and transcode it to mp3's
within Picard

access to errno when using pid provider
I would like to know how to get access to errno when using pid provider to probe calls to
libc functions like fopen(). The built-in errno appears to be only for system calls. What I''d
like to be able to do is investigate where in an application I''m encountering EMFILE and
what the stack looks like at the time.
