Package crashes R under Windows Vista
Dear all, Please, please I really need your help, since I am not able to solve the problem myself: It seems that until now most Windows users of my Bioconductor package "xps" use Windows XP, but recently a user tried to use it on Windows Vista where it crashed R immediately. Since I assume that some users may migrate to the upcoming Windows 7 where the problem will be the same, I

Must Samba4 AD be provisionned with rfc2307 to use winbind ?
Hi all, (Trying to connect squid, postfix, dovecot, pptp, etc ... to AD) Samba 4.0.9, as PDC, on Ubuntu 12.04.3 server. Compiled with : ./configure --enable-debug --enable-selftest Domain provision : /usr/local/samba/bin/samba-tool domain provision Despite my reads and tries, I'm unable to list the AD users from Linux. /usr/local/samba/bin/wbinfo -t /usr/local/samba/bin/wbinfo -u

What is confusing me is the output of samba-tool domain level show Forest function level: (Windows) 2003 Domain function level: (Windows) 2003 Lowest function level of a DC: (Windows) 2008 R2 I thought it might of been because rfc2307 schema included was of 2008r2 ilk. Why does it always say the lowest function level is

Domain Functional Level & Schema Replication
Apols guys about the Thread question. I saw a discussion between Roland and Steve and was just trying to get more info. So apols about hijacking an old thread as it was a bad attempt to nudge a conversion. Firstly could anybody explain why the last line out of samba-tool domain level show. Is this just a bad message or what is triggering "Lowest function level of a DC: (Windows) 2008

How 'bout PAM? /usr/ports/security/pam_ldap. If you have machines that can't do PAM, perhaps NIS is the way to go (assuming, of course, you're behind a firewall). You can store login information in LDAP like you want, then use a home-grown script to extract the information to a NIS map. Or, if you have a Solaris 8 machine lying around, you can cut out the middle step and use

Incremental Backups

I mean is it possible to make a full backup of an image on monday a do the next days of the week incremental backups? Another way could be mount the image and rsync its contents. Does that makes sense? Also i read in qemu changelog: --- Support for a

Bug#368417: xen-hypervisor-3.0-i386: cannot start NetBSD-HEAD
Package: xen-hypervisor-3.0-i386 Version: 3.0.2+hg9681-1 Severity: important Have been trying to get NetBSD to run under debian unstable with the debian supplied hypervisor. Using the 3.0.2-2 hypervisor supplied by XenSource, it works just fine. Because the install process overrides other things, reverified with debian hypervisor afterwards and symptom continues. Attaching the netbsd.cfg and the
