Problems loading siar package
Hello, I recently bought a new Macbook Pro and installed R via a disk image from an older computer - it seems to work fine. I then installed the package "siar", tried to load it via the library command and received the following messages (note the "mvtnorm" package did not appear to load correctly): trying URL

problems with siar package
Hi, my name is Julio, I'm trying to run a script, specifically with the siar package on R (I have attached the script) but the program collapses on during the run. The error message says: *** caught segfault *** address 0xb31941cc, cause 'memory not mapped' Traceback: 1: .C("siarmcmcv4", as.integer(numdata), as.integer(numsources), as.integer(numiso),

Has anyone used SIAR package add on?
On Nov 12, 2011 at 8:29pm Alex wrote: > Has anyone used SIAR package add on? I posted a reply to an earlier question from you on this subject. See http://r.789695.n4.nabble.com/Errors-in-SIAR-td4029804.html. In it I note that there are problems with the function from siar (not SIAR) you are using, but that this may not be "your" problem, that the function calls for matrices (you

SIAR: problem> session aborted
I'm absolutely not brilliant with R yet and working with package SIAR. 1) SIAR reads the first column of a table.txt as "int" instead of "num". Who can help? 2) I therefore made tables with a data.frame() > that seems to work. But at the end of the loading proces of the SIARmodel, I get a warning screen with "Session Aborted". Everything crashes and I can start

SIAR problem with model running
Hi there, I am trying to run an MCMC on stable isotope data from certain organisms to determine their dietary habits in the package SIAR. I have prepared my data according to Inger, R., Jackson, A., Parnell, A., Bearhop, S. : SIAR V4 (Stable Isotope Analysis in R) an Ecologist's Guide (also better known as 'SIAR for dummies'), which is as follows: - consumer data table (columns

siar error
Hello, I am trying to run the demoscript for the package "siar". However, using the example script and example data supplied I cannot get 1) the model to run unless I specify iterations =500 and burnin = 500 and 2) if the model does work without crashing R then the function "siarhistograms" does not work . Can anyone point out where I am going wrong? >model1 <-

Problema con función readSIAR del paquete solaR
Saludos: Hace unos días me encontré con un problema en la función readSIAR del paquete solaR; pensé en actualizar pero no lo hice en el momento. sampling from the uniform distribution over a convex hull
Ranjan Maitra writes: > Does anyone have a suggestion (or better still) code for sampling > from the uniform distribution over the convex hull of a set of > points? This is implemented in library 'spatstat'. If x and y are vectors of coordinates of your initial set of points, library(spatstat) W <- convexhull.xy(x, y) P <- runifpoint(42, W) will compute

Finding convex hull?
Dear UseRs, I would like to know which function is the most efficient in finding convex hull of points in 3(or 2)-dimensional case? Functions for finding convex hull is the following: convex.hull (tripack), chull (grDevices), in.chull (sgeostat), convhulln (geometry), convexhull.xy (spatstat), calcConvexHull (PBSmapping). I also would like to know if there is a function that can be used

Oracle and ZFS
Hi All ; One of our customer is suffered from FS being corrupted after an unattanded shutdonw due to power problem. They want to switch to ZFS. >From what I read on, ZFS will most probably not be corrupted from the same event. But I am not sure how will Oracle be affected from a sudden power outage when placed over ZFS ? Any comments ? PS: I am aware of UPS''s and

Distribued ZFS
Hi Ged; At the moment ZFS is not a shared file system nor a paralell file system. However lustre integration which will take some time will provide parallel file system abilities. I am unsure if lustre at the moment supports redundancy between storage nodes (it was on the road map) But ZFS at the moment supports Sun cluster 3.2 (no paralel acccess is supported) and new upcoming SAS Jbods

Our computing services people have recently reconfigured the Sun compilers structure on our network, and I can no longer install, on our Sun/Solaris machine, a certain package (spatstat) with which I am heavily involved. (The same problem may well pertain to other packages as well; I haven't yet experimented except with spatstat.) Strictly speaking I can ***install*** it, but when I try to
