VLC package(s) for C6 ?
Hi listees! Just installed C6 (more or less) permanently on my eeepc. I've enabled rpmfusion non-free, rpmfusion free, elrepo, and epel, prior to this point I've been running fedora on it (f10 thru f14) and have always found VLC at rpmfusion. (but finally RHEL/Centos have become modern enough to support the eeepc's funky hardware, so I'm switching back--tired of the version

Hello. I have been trying to add rpmforge as a repository, but yum does not seem to be updating the package lists. I tried $ yum check-updates [...] Loading mirror speeds from cached hostfile * base: <mirror> * epel: <mirror> * extras: <mirror> * rpmforge: mirror.ate.info * updates: <mirror> and searched for any package available there, like i3 and mpv. Pull Request wiki.c.o/AdditionalResources/Repositories
KB -- I made those changes several months ago (Sep/Oct I believe), with discussion in IRC. This was after a spate of people in the main channel having issues with Atomic (there's a name that's going to end up causing problems...) and the continued use of RPMForge/RepoForge, with no indication that they're really really bad. As well as the recognition of the reality that there are a

What are the chances that a package such as vlc from http://videolan.org/vlc would become included in extras? so a yum install vlc would work. Thanks, Jerry

installing 32 bit vlc on Centos 5.5??
I'm in yum dependency hell using epel, rpmforge and rpmfusion repos to install vlc on 32 bit Centos 5.5. Anyone have a better idea? Doesn't really have to be vlc I just want to be able to play a dvd and Movie Player complains about missing plugins without saying what they are. perl-Nagios-Plugin-0.35-1.el5.rf.noarch from rpmforge: dependency problem
Hi folks, I hope this is the right mailing list to ask since on the repoforge website there is no list or contact information. I have a problem with updating the perl-Nagios-Plugin package. I have installed perl-Nagios-Plugin-0.33-1.el6.rf.noarch, and running yum update leads to: > Error: Package: perl-Nagios-Plugin-0.35-1.el6.rf.noarch (rpmforge) > Requires:

Eliminating duplicate photos
I've seen fslint and fdupes recommended for this in CentOS, but neither seem to be available as packages. Is anyone using either under CentOS-5.6? It seems that they are available in the rpmfusion-free repository, but as far as I can see this is not functioning with CentOS at present. -- Timothy Murphy e-mail: gayleard /at/ eircom.net tel: +353-86-2336090, +353-1-2842366 s-mail: School of

Hey, I ran into a yum conflict regarding an repoforge extra package obsoleting a base package. The thing is that I set a lower priority to repoforge extra... Any idea how come I ran into this issue...?
