How to propelry restore a Maildir
Hello, I would like to know what is the proper way to restore a Maildir : Assuming someone has got a foobar/[cur|new|tmp] maildir, loses for some reason its content and that some new mail (seen and/or unseen) comes into that mailbox inbetween (that is before the restore procedure takes place, thus creating the need to merge restored messages and new ones). I'd like to check the following (I

Request removal of CyrusImapd how to
Hi! On behalf of team Cyrus, I'm trying to review and clean up old instances of Cyrus documentation around the web. It's a long lived OSS project and has left behind many old docs in its years on the earth. This is resulting in strange queries coming to us as people try to follow information that's years out of date. To this end I'd like to request removal of

denyhosts configuration
Hello, I've installed denyhosts on centos 5.3 trying to block automated attacks on ssh. It appears to be working in that entries are being added to /etc/hosts.deny yet the daily emails sent from denyhosts show only one ip being added perday when the total is many more than that. My config is below, i've gone over it and am not seeing what i missed. Suggestions welcome. I was also

[LLVMdev] Problems with the tools
I just built LLVM 2.0 on Windows with Visual C++ 2005. After a few tweaks, it produced several nice .exe files. I tried to compile a simple Hello-World program as given in the documentation: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ; Declare the string constant as a global constant... %.LC0 = internal constant [13 x i8 ] c"hello

constrOptim with method SANN
Hi Everyone, I'm trying to minimize a function using constrOptim with the simulated annealing method SANN. If I understand constrOptim well, it basically passes most of its arguments to optim while somehow enforcing the constraints. My problem is, that since SANN does not need gradients, when using optim with SANN, the gr argument of optim is used to specify a function to create the next

Indexing Chinese?
My second (and hopefully last) question: is there any more news on indexing Chinese characters and words? Searching online mostly returns results from a decade ago or more, with nothing very conclusive. How close is this to possible? For the time being I'm doing some pre-processing on long strings of Chinese, breaking on punctuation in order to avoid errors. But I have some large corpora of

Clustering dovecot?
Currently I have a mail server running postfix and dovecot with users in mysql. I have Outlook (blich) clients checking IMAP mail on the server. I'd like to build some fault-tolerance into that system in case I have hardware failure. I've read through: http://wiki.dovecot.org/MailLocation/SharedDisk but I feel I need more information. My basic understanding is that I'll need 2

IMAP aggregation and MUPDATE protocolo
Hi. I'm just having a look about aggregating several IMAP sources and a IMAP aggregator proxy would come very handy. I just read: http://www.cyrusimap.org/mediawiki/index.php/Cyrus_Murder_Design and found it very interesting. Anyone did something similar based on: http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc3656 Thanx. [LLVMdev] LLVM binaries for Windows and more
Hi! I want to use LLVM for my own "pet" programming language compiler as a backend. Currently it generates C code, but I am not satisfied with this approach as generating high-level C (with proper type declarations!) is horrible. So here are my questions/problems with LLVM: 1.) Are there operations that add, sub, mul integers with overflow checking? How much work would it be to add
