Hi, I have Orinoco 802.11b PC Card from Proxim. I plugged it to pcmcia slot, but It doesn't work - no blinking LEDs, no wi0 in ifconfig. I have 7.1-PRERELEASE, laptop Prestigio Nobile 157. On NetBSD seems working, but NetBSD is not friendly with me. if_wi driver included in kernel. ----- dmesg Copyright (c) 1992-2008 The FreeBSD Project. SECURITY: procps 1.2.7 fixes security hole
A file creation and corruption bug in XConsole included in procps-X11 versions 1.2.6 and earlier has been found. To fix it, you can either remove the XConsole program or upgrade to procps-1.2.7, available from ftp://tsx-11.mit.edu/pub/linux/sources/usr.bin/procps-1.2.7.tar.gz Thanks to Alan Iwi for finding the bug. A few other bugs have been fixed in this version. Read the NEWS file if you

Terrible dahdi_test results
Hello, I am trying to get a Wildcard TE110P to work in a relatively modern HP Proliant DL385p Gen8 server. Being a potent 12 core Opteron server I expected no problems. Much to my dismay the dahdi_test results are constantly terrible: # dahdi_test Opened pseudo dahdi interface, measuring accuracy... 89.101% 89.195% 89.142% 88.957% 88.953% 89.115% 89.089% 89.134% 89.066% 89.021% 88.933% 89.044%

wct4xxp Excessive Interrupts Resulting in Unusable System or Card
Hello all- I have a Digium TE410P in an HP DL145 G2 dual processor server that generates well over 100,000 interrupts per second (sometimes I?ve counted 160,000+ per second) generally resulting in either the system becoming swamped and unusable or the kernel disabling the IRQ the TE410P is on resulting in the spans on that card being unusable. I have confirmed that the card is good by placing it

Freebsd 7.0-RELEASE-p3 panics
Hello, I've been having spurrious crash troubles with this box a while now and I haven't been able to figure out why. I've ran a couple memtest passes on it and it didn't pick up anything. Here's a backtrace I've been able to obtain. The kernel config is at the end. It's the generic kernel with ULE. I'm following chapter 11 of the developers' handbook, so if

wpi driver freeze on boot
I've got a HP dv8000 laptop. Setting up the wpi driver for wireless freezes the system on boot with the following error: wpi0 requested unsupported memory range wpi0: could not allocate memory resource It lists a pcbi device (pcbi4 i think) and an actual memory range, but since I have to reboot using kernel.old the /var/run/dmesg.boot is wiped with the info. Is there anyway to grab the

1.2.beta4: Fatal: io_loop_handle_add: epoll_ctl(1, 11): Bad file descriptor
Whenever dovecot is stopped while a dict process is running I see Fatal: io_loop_handle_add: epoll_ctl(1, 11): Bad file descriptor in the error log. The following patch fixes this for me. I'm sure there is a better way though. --- dovecot-1.2.beta4/src/master/dict-process.c.orig 2009-03-27 16:44:59.000000000 +0100 +++ dovecot-1.2.beta4/src/master/dict-process.c 2009-03-27

6.1-BETA4-i386-disc2.iso - only usr/share/doc, no usr/src?
Does the 6.1-BETA4-i386-disc2.iso contain only usr/share/doc, or for some reason i am unable to see anything else? I was looking for usr/src (and for a odd chance to have usr/ports); i suppose those two trees would be available somewhere on some disc for RELENG_6_1. I mounted the image as ... mdconfig -a -t vnode -f /path/to/6.1-BETA4-i386-disc2.iso -u 0 mount -t cd9660 /dev/md0 /mnt ...
