HOW to use str() after the survivalROC (or another library in R) to get optimal cut-off values

HOW to use the survivalROC (or another library in R) to get optimal
cut-off values?
I want to use the time-dependent survivalROC package.according to

Metafor package
I have some question about metafor package.
I'm interest to perform a random effect meta-analysis of proportion
(single group summary of prevalence of disease in a population as
reported by different study)
It ask:
1. "PFT": The Freeman-Tukey double arcsine transformed proportion is
reported to be equal to 1/2*(asin(sqrt(xi/(ni+1))) +
asin(sqrt((xi+1)/(ni+1)))). Hovewer, i

Extrapolating Cox predicted risk
Dear all
I generated predicted risk of death for each subject in the study by
means of Cox proportional hazards model at 8 year of follow-up, a time
point at which follow-up was more than 90% complete. It is possible to
extrapolate to 10-year the predicted risk of each subjet by assuming
an exponential distribution?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for your consideration.

R: net reclassification index after Cox survival analysis
Dear all,
I am interested to evaluate reclassification using net
reclassification improvement and Integrated Discrimination Index IDI after
survival analysis (Cox proportional hazards using stcox). I search a R
package or a R code that specifically addresses the categorical NRI for
time-to-event data in the presence of censored observation and, if
possible, at different follow-up time points.

Fitting survival trees with competing risk
Dear all,
I'm interested in fitting survival trees with competing risk analysis.
The tree should show the cumulative incidence function for each terminal
node .
I read several paper illustrating this possibility, but to the best of my
knowledge no R code are reported.
There is any R package for this fit?
Thank you very much in advance.

Installing Rcplex
Hi,
I have tried to install the R package Rcplex on windows xp without success. I have only cplex_studio124.win-x86-32 version.
I have modified the makevars.win file as indicated in the installation guide ( http://cran.r-project.org/web/packages/Rcplex/INSTALL ), then I zipped the whole folder to order an installation from a zipped file (utils :menuInstallLocal())
The message I had is

read.table with special chars
Hi all,
I am just starting with R and I have come across a problem which I guess
it is easy to solve. I am reading a table with read.table function.
This table contains chars which seem to be problematic when reading them
such as "'" and "#", if I remove these characters fromt the table by
hand the problem disappears. Otherwise, the whole table is not read,
since reading

bzlib, pcre and zlib still needed in rules?
Dear All,
I just
apt-get source r-base-core
and noticed that file "rules" under ./r-base-3.2.4-revised/debian
contains (lines 277 to 279)
--with-system-bzlib \
--with-system-pcre \
--with-system-zlib \
I wonder if these are still necessary and, in fact, when building R alpha
(specifically, R-alpha_2016-03-21_r70361.tar.gz) I get a warning saying
that those options are not

Programme Maxstat
Sirs,
I have recently been interested in your Maxstat. I have computed with my own programme the ranks (by using the Kaplan-Meier method and the log-rank test) with the formula (Observed-Expected)/(SQR Var). The results are similar but not exact to the M value obtained with the Maxstat. I would like to know whether you are using some correction or adjustment in computing the different ranks. Thank

My files are on disk and they are regular text files named

The separator is sep='' (ie, white space)
I want to append 'XFile' at the end of those files. XFile is also on disk.
file.append("file_1.saam", "XFile.saam"); file.append("file_2.saam",
