dovecot, sieve and vacation
Hi there ! Have a small problem with sieve and vacation: it seems to descard the vacation filter I created instead of sending back an email: Mar 20 11:56:28 hostname dovecot: deliver(virtual_user): sieve: msgid=unspecified: discarding vacation response for message implicitly delivered to <virtual_user at hostname> after searching a bit on the net, I stumbled on another (old) thread:

pairs plots in R
Hi, is there a way to take a data frame with 100+ columns and large data set to do efficient exploratory analysis in R with pairs? I find using pairs on the whole matrix is slow and the resulting matrix is tiny. Also the variable of interest for me is a binary var Y or N . Is there an efficient way to graphically view many variable relationships that does not look teeny ? I could do

omindex => Unknown extension
Hi all, I'm having a recurrent problem with Omega's indexing. When I run omindex, it sometimes misses to recognize the extension of some files (.doc, .pdf) and skips them. In the same run, omindex is otherwise perfectly able to index other files with same extensions. The reason is not clear but it should occur before it selects a content converter since for example, if I manually run

[python indexer] add meta informations
Hello, I'm trying to index some blog stuff through python bindings. I'd like to know how to add some informations (url, title, date, and so on) so that I can reach them through a xapian.Enquire object.. I believe it's something to be set in xapian.TermGenerator(), but... I can't manage to find which function. I'm waiting for something like : xtermgen.add_meta('url',

dovecot, ldap and multiple auth_bind_userdn
Hello List! I'm having some troubles for a client of mine: he has two ldap branches which may contain valid users for imap login... For now, dovecot is configured so that it uses the auth_bind: ======== uris = ldap://localhost:389/ auth_bind = yes auth_bind_userdn = uid=%u,ou=user,dc=org ldap_version = 3 base = dc=artemis user_attrs = user_global_uid = 8 user_global_gid = 8 pass_attrs =

Password expiration: how to trigger it?
Dear Dovecot Team, I'm in the (long) process of migrating my whole email infrastructure. Of course, dovecot is in the place, and is working just fine. Still, I have an issue: password expiration. I'm now using FreeIPA backend for the user authentication, and it includes the capacity to expire passwords. Basically, it's an LDAP with fancy things, among them a field named

NetworkManager trouble with CentOS 5.4 and KDE3
I'm evaluating CentOS 5.4 for our company and one of our requirements is that it must also run on laptops. I've managed to get everything working so far except for wireless networks. The problem here seems to be that CentOS fails to provide a knetworkmanager package, and we're using KDE3 for various reasons. Thus, we're limited to Networkmanager-gnome which works but fails to

Ugh, sounds like competing priorities. * maintain type consistency * minimize storage (= current version, since 3.0.0) * maximize utility for large lambda (= proposed change) * keep user interface, and code, simple (e.g., it would be easy enough to add a switch that provided user control of int vs double return value) * backward compatibility On 2020-01-20 12:33 p.m., Martin Maechler

macosx (lots of little changes)
happy new year. a day off is a day to pick up a new project, so I wrestled my way through making ogg vorbis work on macosx. first, libao (not entirely a proper patch, but 2 source file diffs and a diff of a configure'd Makefile to one that works.): http://bolson.org/pub/libao-0.8.2-diff.tar.gz libogg and libvorbis compiled without incident. vorbis-tools were more complicated. Digium FXS specifications and limits Question
Howdy All, I'm considering Asterisk / Digium as a replacement to my existing phone switch. I need to continue to be able to push analog lines between multiple buildings in a campus environment. The Digium Analog 410 Card manual states it's not recommended to go beyond 1500 feet distance for an FXS card, and no line should leave the building or be bundled. The 2400 Series Manual does

Sieve replication - Debian 9.11 - Dovecot 2.2.7 - script changes not replicated
Hi, I am trying to setup Sieve replication, it is almost working: 1/ Create a script - sync'd across 2/ Activate/de-activate a script - change sync'd 3/ Delete a script - change sync'd But if I make a change to a script it is not replicated, unless I de-activate and activate again. I am seeing in the logs the below during this process (de-activating/activating): Oct? 9

TC
Thanks for the very prompt reply. I''ve been googling already for a few days now trying to understand how bandwidth management works. I came to understand that TC is a utility that I can use to shape up my local network bandwidth consumption. Im hoping I will be guided here through. Here are my questions: 1. Is TC works on an interface of a physical device only? 2. My objective is to
