lapply and Two TimeStamps as input
Dear all,
I have a function that recognizes the following format for timestamps
"%Y-%m-%d %H:%M:%S"
my function takes two input arguments the TimeStart and TimeEnd
I would like to help me create the right list with pairs of TimeStart and TimeEnd which I can feed to lapply (I am using mclapply actually).
For every lapply I want two inputs to be fed to my function. I only know how to

PLEASE HELP ,a2billing problem with call duration
Regards!
During the use of areski a2billing software I'm getting same problem all the time.
Actually, after 15 minutes of speaking to someone over calling card, connection brakes.
Installation was as smooth as it could be so I don't think I made same kind of a mess in that domain. This is the only problem in the aplication.
In the logs everything seems to be fine.

Text to Speech - Someone needs to do this
Why hasn't someone found 50 people who sound alike, put them in sound
studios and record the 10,000 most commonly used words. You would all
differnent forms of the 1,000 most words, i.e. leading, trailing, question
etc.
You can synthesize the other 0.05% when you run into them. With hard drives
so big, processors so fast and EXT3 that can handle 30,000+ files in a
single directory that

Polycom IP 500 - problem dialing extra numbers
hi there
I'm setting up asterisk@home and I'm using Polycom IP 500 phones.
When I call a number that has a digital receptionist (i.e. "dial 1 or
such and such, dial 2 for this and that...") the Polycom doesn't seem
to send the extra digits. When I try it with X-Lite things appear to
work fine, so I think the problem is with the Polycom configuration.
Here's some

Polycom 601 problems with multiple registrations
I'm stumped on this one and any help would be greatly appreciated.
I'm just trying to get my Polycom 601 to have multiple extensions on it.
For example, on line 1 I want extension 21, on line 2 I want extension
22, and on line 3 I want extension 23. Ideally I'd actually have each
extension appear on 2 lines and therefore filling up all 6. I should be
able to do that with the

CDR / billsec / originate / local chan
Hi All,
I have been running a environment with asterisk 1.4.20.1 for some time
now with no issue but have recently added some extra functionality
(enabled call recording via MixMonitor) and ran into some deadlock
issues which seem to be well documented with earlier 1.4.x releases so
have decided to take the plunge and upgrade. I decided to start testing
with 1.6.2 but have run into a couple

originate, local channel and failure extension
Hi All,
I am in the process of migrating from 1.4.20 to 1.6.2.x and have
stumbled across a number of "differences" between the 2 versions that
are forcing me to use local channels in my dialplan (mainly centered
around the different behavior of CDR fields in the 2 versions) .
Previously, I would place a call via an AMI Originate action similar to:

Ringtones won't work
I was hoping that someone may be able to shed some light on some issues I'm
having on trying to get an Asterisk test server up and running. At the
moment I have the basics, two Polycom hard phones (301 & 601 with expansion
unit (which oddly will not power up)) that can call each other, log into
voicemail (one touch) and have custom directories & buddy lists.
Unfortunately some of the

Asterisk core dumping on SendFax with FFA
Hi All,
I seem to have stumbled on a bit of a problem. When trying to send a fax
with Fax For Asterisk on 1.6.2.x (have tried 1.6.2.5, 1.6.2.7 and the
current svn version, with FFA 1.2 I get a core dump each time.
Here is an extract form the console:
