Bias-corrected percentile confidence intervals
Hi folks,
I'm trying to estimate bias-corrected percentile (BCP) confidence
intervals on a vector from a simple for loop used for resampling. I am
attempting to follow steps in Manly, B. 1998. Randomization, bootstrap
and monte carlo methods in biology. 2nd edition., p. 48. PDF of the
approach/steps should be available here:

Generating unque patient IDs
Dear group,
I am trying to prepare a NONMEM friendly dataset for population PK
analysis. My patient IDs are 10 digit long and NONMEM is losing precison
and rouding the last couple of digits. I need to generate unique Patient
IDs fromt he current 10-digit IDs. Ihave total 250 subjects so I
appreciate if anybody can suggest me a way to code this in R.

Help on merging without a common variable
Dear All,
I want to create a dataset for a NONMEM simulation. I have a dataframe with
individual PK parameters and want to create a dosing sceinario in a second
dataframe. I want to merge them both so that every individiual's PK
parameters are combined with the dosing scenario into one. I do not have a
common variable to merge and cbind is giving error that lengths are
different. I

Density plots
Dear group,
I need help on two problems:
1. I am trying to plot density plots for each individual in 8 occasions.
I can do this by subject wiht the code below:
par(mfrow=c(4,2))
plot(density(all8scenarios$SIMCONC[all8scenarios$ID==1&all8scenarios$WSEQ==0]))
plot(density(all8scenarios$SIMCONC[all8scenarios$ID==1&all8scenarios$WSEQ==1]))

Plot history
Dear R group,
I am trying to plot uisng a for loop. Here is the script:
for (i in unique(cfn$ID)){
plot(cfn$TIME[cfn$ID==i],cfn$DV[cfn$ID==i],pch=16)}
I could access only the last plot of the series and cannot go back to see
all the plots. I appreciate your help in resolving this issue and also
please suggest how I can export the plots as a pdf or other format files for
publication purposes.

Hope someone could help me.
I am trying to run automatically the conversion of an Rwn file to a tex
file.
I am using windows 7, and cygwin.
I tried to run automatically the Sweave.sh script, in its the most

Xen and I/O Intensive Loads
Hi, folks,
I''m attempting to run an e-mail server on Xen. The e-mail system is Novell GroupWise, and it serves about 250 users. The disk volume for the e-mail is on my SAN, and I''ve attached the FC LUN to my Xen host, then used the "phy:/dev..." method to forward the disk through to the domU. I''m running into an issue with high I/O wait on the box (~250%)

"Operation not permitted" error when using "xe vm-start"
Hey!
I am following the steps at
http://wiki.xenproject.org/wiki/XCP_Beginners_Guide for creating a VM.
I''ve setup my test VM with 1GiB min/max memory. I''ve assigned 2GiB of
memory to dom0 (http://wiki.xen.org/wiki/Xen_Best_Practices) . My box
has 12GB of physical memory and runs Ubuntu 13.04.
When I do "xe vm-start", I get the following:

Basic questions on nls and bootstrap
Dear R community,
I have currently some problems with non linear regression analysis in R.
My data correspond to the degradation kinetic of a pollutant in two
different soil A and B, x data are time in day and y data are pollutant
concentration in soil.
In a first time, I want to fit the data for the soil A by using the Ct =
C0*exp(-k*Tpst) with Ct the concentration of pollutant at time t, C0

[PATCH v3 0/5] vsock/virtio: optimizations to increase the throughput
This series tries to increase the throughput of virtio-vsock with slight
changes.
While I was testing the v2 of this series I discovered an huge use of memory,
so I added patch 1 to mitigate this issue. I put it in this series in order
to better track the performance trends.
v3:
- Patch 1: added a threshold to copy only small packets [Jason]
- Patch 1: replaced the allocation of a new buffer
