Wine 1.4 rc1 - repository?
As I saw the announcement on WineHQ that 1.4-rc1 is released, I was very excited, and promptly refreshed my package manager. I would really like to help testing the new wine-version, but I lack the time to compile it myself. Do I have to add another repository (besides the usual one for the "uneven" branch) or does it simply take some more time till the update arrives in the repository?

After RC1 upgrade, temporary loss of voice
I just upgraded to RC1 from a two-three month old CVS , and noticed that during IAX2 calls to my service provider there are periods (usually less than 10 seconds long, minutes apart) during which the caller can not hear me, but I can hear the caller fine. Inter-office calls (SIP-to-SIP) does not appear to have this issue. Has any other users experienced this? Marcus Adolfsson TreoCentral

Patching Wine 1.0-rc1 with 3dmark.diff
Hey guys, I'm a new Ubuntu convert (installed through Wubi, and am blown away!) I'd love to get wine working so I play games etc, but I've got a lot of learning to do when it comes to installing and getting things working. So, I want to use the 1.0-rc1 version of wine, but CoD4 requires the 3dmark.diff patch. This is what I think I need to be doing: with the 3dmark.diff file

Ipsec in Shorewall 4.0.0-RC1
Hi Tom, hi list. I have an issue in in RC1. The Setup works flawlessly with 3.x and with the shelll compiler of RC1, but with the same setup and the perl compiler my IPSEC traffic gets dropped in net2all chain. Attached is a dump, compiled with perl, including some dropped traffic, e.g. SRC=192.168.66.10 DST=192.168.1.2 Did I overlook something in migration process? Alex

Hype The Time Quest Regression
There's an old Ubisoft game called "Hype the Time Quest". For many Wine versions, Wine could not get past the Hype installer. It would go up to 117% and fail. Then a version came where if you unchecked the DirectX check, the install would work (or maybe that's all you had to do to begin with). But the game would fail to start with an error about MaiD3Dvr_bleu.exe. Then a Wine

Which is more robust/bug-free? Rails 1.0 or 1.1-RC1?
I know that Rails 1.1-RC1 has many new features but it also seems to fix numerous bugs found in Rails 1.1. So for new projects--say a small (<=10 product) ecommerce website set to launch "any day now", should we use Rails 1.0 or 1.1-RC1? Which is more bug-free? I heard 1.1-RC1 gets rid of the ''white screen of death'' but I''m wondering if any new bugs

WinAmp RC1/RC2 problem
Hi, I've got a number of sound effects for a mod of a game in Ogg Vorbis format, encoded with OggDrop (RC2). WinAmp with Nullsoft Vorbis Decoder RC1 and RC2 freeze when I try to play those files. Maybe it's because the files are so small? Both OGG and WAV versions can be found at http://xccu.sourceforge.net/temp/winamp_crash.zip Olaf van der Spek Almere, Holland Olaf@XCC.TMFWeb.NL

PP's out_vorbis winamp plugin based on RC1
I just found a message in vqf's forums http://www.vqf.com/bbs/display.php3?board=VQF.comForum&DISP=12831 that says: Have you tried vorbis output plugin for winamp ? it already support rc1 encoding! http://www.blorp.com/~peter/ --> see misc ! I checked this plugin and found it was based on libvorbis RC1. I wonder what does it mean? Can this plugin use Ogg vorbis encoder engine RC1?
